How is it that when I walk home from my green grocer just now I get some guy gawk at me from his car  and from what I could lip read "f** you're so f** hot, woah" with his mouth hanging open.  And…Continue

I am just curious why so many people in this group do not have their age displayed... While I get the idea that 'age doesn't matter' (especially with this diet) - it really does with certain aspects…Continue

What helps support the gypsy in me is living in something similar to what the gypsy's lived in, a small wagon on wheels (small motorhome). It's easy to relocate, just turn the key and go! And it has made me come to appreciate a minimalist lifestyle. Very freeing, lots of options.

it would be awesome to meet someone who shares my biggest passions in life - health and happiness - living at one with nature - body and mind.... and also has gypsy feet allowing life to move them to find the juiciest most delicious tropical fruit (-:

I just started dating a guy that was not 811 or even vegan. I didn't think I would ever date someone that wasn't at least vegan, but my last boyfriend was low-fat raw vegan and he was an emotional wreck and had a horrible mean streak. The guy I just started dating is very emotionally stable and is also very open to learning. I have been seeing him three weeks, I have not said one word to him about what he eats. I have just done my own thing. Yesterday I asked him if he wanted to come over for dinner and that I would fix him whatever he wants, he said he wanted a fruit salad. So after dinner he told me he likes what he sees in the way I eat and wants to try it himself. Hehe...health is contagious.

Well said, Joy. I agree that your habitual lifestyle is now completely geared in a certain way. When you choose to rise, sleep, what your leisure activities include, of course meal time, what you enjoy to read, watch, etc. Of course, that's not to say that natural hygienists don't do "normal" things, like watching silly movies, going to the mall, going to theme parks, etc., but I'm not so sure that the latter would work well without having established the former.

I agree with the guys!!  I recently dated someone that wasn't 811 but was WAY into fruit (they still ate rice proteins, have mercury fillings, cooked foods, etc, etc, etc)...and it became clear that it is so much more than just the food now.  Natural hygiene, for me, is a way of living - beyond the food - choices about everything evolve from it (811 is definitely a major part) - and a partner has to match that for me.  Granted, health/healing/simple lifestyle is a HUGE part of my human path and evolution..and so it plays a much bigger role for me - someone else on 30BAD may not care because it may not be something driving their life path...

Not to mention, I want a partner that is going to challenge me (either indirectly or directly) to be a better, healthier and more fabulous person (whoop whoop!)  Someone that doesn't subscribe to this lifestyle, in my eyes, would not stimulate this desire in me.  Whaa whaa whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

I have never met another 811er. So  I'll take what I can get. :)

Personally, since I want to be with someone who shares my most important values and philosophies - with health being high on that list - I don't get socially serious with someone who doesn't care about living in a way that best supports their health. So for me, her being supportive of my health-enhancing lifestyle practices isn't enough; if she too didn't value her health similarly, there could be no chemistry.

I just have to ask, but would prefer not to clog the discussion section...does anyone prefer to never date outisde of the 811 pool? ;P

It just seems like they mostly smell terrible, and are not willing (at least at first) to embrace or accept your lifestyle! Unfortunately, due to limited 811lfrv'ers in my area, I've had to resort to this dating pool that's more local--grrrr!

Mmk... 26/female/yes

...which is to say, I dont currently live anywhere in particular - so a traveler would be a plus.  Currently I'm heading off to Thailand for a bit, then back to Woodstock, then Sedro Woolley... then... either California or Brazil er somethin...

I'm straight

Uhm... just listed my year's plans, that plus homework and recording.

So... yea.  My computer is ambivalently crashing in slow motion, so I cant see the other questions I was supposed to answer, if there were more... so I'll... come back I guess....

Drat! ;-)  I was just on the border (just East of Sedro) and would have loved to join y'all!!  I would love to go to Dr. G's Sedro Woolley gig but have made a promise to myself to be somewhere warmer by fall..

Is there an event page around here where you can post?  Would be groovy!
