Vegansexual?

Hey gang, Melissa posted a comment about this and I thought it would make an interesting thread...

So to go vegansexual or not? That is the question. (Vegansexual meaning only willing to date/have sex with vegans)

Some of my thoughts:

Pros: better smelling, more likely to be attractive, ethical compatibility, more likely to be compatible on other issues like polyamory, spirituality, compassionate awareness.

Cons: Some people are non-vegan just out of ignorance, not because they've consciously said no to veganism. In those cases, I wonder if it's a wasted opportunity to bring some light on the matter into someone's life if you're otherwise attracted to them.

At this point, I don't consider myself vegansexual, although it's definitely a HUGE plus if a girl is vegan. A small plus if she's vegetarian, but to be honest I don't consider being vegetarian much of an improvement over SAD. Lacto-ovo chicks still smell like nasty cheese :(.

I am vegansexual.

I still talk to and flirt with non-vegan ladies of course, but that's about it.. I don't know why.. but it just doesn't feel right for me to go any further..

I am vegansexual.

Guys who eat SAD just STINK. like something awful. I can't get over it. not to mention knowing what goes in their mouth does not make me want to put mine anywhere theirs. same goes for SAD girls.

I find non vegans attractive of course, on a purely physical level, but that's it.

Plus, I don't want some guy ( or girl) to go vegan just because they want to be with me, it's a choice that has to be made for the right reasons.

Yeah me either. I recently met a friend who's already interested in veganism/raw food, and so my presence is helping to bring some good info into her life, but she's certainly not doing it for me, so that's awesome.

Also we had a hot date last night and I made blueberry/date pie garnished with blueberries raspberries and mint leaves. Big hit.

Hmm Yes, but I'm sure they would be getting some benefits (and giving some) regardless of their reasoning - If we could turn the world vegan by being sexy, I'm sure the thinking and passion behind it would come too. It's a sad fact, but more sexy, intelligent vegans in the media would make a difference.

Sex sells. It always has & always will. I don't think it's a bad thing at all when it comes to promoting veganism. In fact as you said we can use it in our favor. So we either work on getting sexier, or working on converting already sexy people haha:)
