I'm just going to put this out there. I love Jesus, he really rocks my world
I also love fruit and believe he gave us the perfect food for optimum health and just wondering if there is even one other person in this great big website who's on the same wavelength?

Permalink Reply by Leyna on February 13, 2013 at 4:09pm Thanks for posting this, as it's been on my heart lately too! I would absolutely love to get married one day, but I feel like finding a man who shares my faith and (at the very least) supports my lifestyle choices is akin to searching for a needle in a haystack! But it's good to know I'm not the only one who feels this way. Haha.

What's not to love about the message of Christ!?
Way to go girl!

Glad to find this thread. Anyone on this thread close to Houston, TX? :)
Would be nice to have some Christian banana friends that believe and live the same as I do.

Permalink Reply by Erika on May 27, 2013 at 2:17am Same wavelength here. I actually think veganism totally makes sense with scripture. We were not designed to eat meat. Adam and Eve did not eat meat in the garden. Of course, there is meat eating throughout scripture, but not until after "the fall". God gave them the PLANTS to eat in the beginning. So, even if we later ate meat ... the fact that they were only given the plants to eat in the garden shows me that for optimal health we were DESIGNED to eat plants and therefore do not NEED to eat meat for optimal health. It seems pretty clear to me that we were designed to care for and love the animals... not eat them. Especially in our world today where we, for the most part, can choose what to eat. Even if we can't afford to eat totally raw, we can definitely afford to eat totally vegan because a diet of rice and potatoes would be cheaper than a meat diet.
Of course, there is also the story of Daniel where he challenged the king's men to a contest of strength where he only ate plants, "
“Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink. 13 Then compare our appearance with that of the young men who eat the royal food, and treat your servants in accordance with what you see.” 14 So he agreed to this and tested them for ten days.
15 At the end of the ten days they looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal food. 16 So the guard took away their choice food and the wine they were to drink and gave them vegetables instead."

So glad to see there are other people on the same page as me!! :)
I also agree! The Holy Spirit entered me last year and Jesus REALLY helped me during a difficult time. I had never experienced such an amazing transformation...
