I am just curious why so many people in this group do not have their age displayed...
While I get the idea that 'age doesn't matter' (especially with this diet) - it really does with certain aspects of our lives...
Is it intentional or just that people don't realize it isn't displayed?
Would love to hear some perspectives...
That's a toughie Joy, I mean if you existed before your birth on Earth, just how would you know your exact age & would you measure it in Earth years? Andromedan years? Or?
Perhaps we're all eternal. My four cents ;)
Hi Dizzy! Thanks for playing with me here...
Honestly, I think that is a GREAT perspective in 'concept' - but there is a human reality...people that are in their 20's have not necessarily gone through the 'family', 'kids', 'marriage', 'career' phase...
I also, in my experience, find that when people hit their late 30's and early 40's they start to see life very differently. This is a rough generalization - but I have seen it time and time again..
Soooo, I definitely agree that we are all eternal (well, not physical form - but energy-wise) - however, there is a reality to living and loving on this planet - especially in Western cultures...and maybe Eastern, too - I can only speak to Western.
Thanks again - always appreciate different perspectives! :-)
Well I happen to agree with you, now there are a few advanced souls in their 20's but these are fairly rare.
Oh and anytime you wanna play with me send a message and I'm skype too ; )
ya, i agree. if you want to find love using a tool like the internet, the more you can reveal (without totally making yourself open to internet predation) the better!!
I got my age displayed. 22. Turning 23 in 9 days.
Except, my personality is like those of a child. I like simplicity, and not taking too much responsibility of paperwork. Minimalism is my love, just as the rain. =)
But when I get philisophical and SOLEMN, especially when pissed off against discrimination; I sound like some cranky old guy in a body of a youth [maybe that's what I think].
Immature with adult life in society, especially when dealing with work and taxes. But mature when getting into subjects of the internal self, and the spirit; and the mysteries of life [I'm glad I've attained that awareness that I've sought for].
Ummm... Well, I know that I'm 17 earth years, Dizzy. :)
I know that my age would definately make a difference with something like this. It would be smart to have our ages posted.
I don't display my age on purpose. If someone asked me, I would tell them. But I don't want to advertise it. Mario Martinez, a neuropsychologist, said that you should never tell a person your age because they will peg you into a paradigm, and they will look at you with according to all societies stereotypes for that age. For example, if you found a certain person's profile attractive but then saw their age was 19 you may think they aren't ready for a serious relationship. But that's not fair to say because maybe they are ready for a serious relationship.
