Fundraising Ideas

We'd all love to travel and meet up.

Some of you have expressed that you need time to save $$$ for this trip. That's OK! So do I!

So in the mean time, here are some ideas to raise $$$ for your/our trip...


+ Start selling some of your belongings (if you haven't done this already). Craigslist is good, ebay, garage sales, etc. If you have a bank account, you might want to consider starting a new savings account so that you aren't tempted to touch the money.

+ Car Wash!!! Invest in some eco-friendly soaps, make some signs, get your supportive friends together who want to see who have an AWESOME trip, and start washing those cars!!!

+ Part Time Job...Oh yes...The wretched part time job...Well, it doesn't have to be so wretched. Start looking now!!!

+ Clean house!! This branches off of part time job...Invest in some eco friendly cleaning products and market yourself to your friends and family. Offer to clean/tidy up their place 1x week/1x month, whatever.

+ Special Talents!!! We all have special talents. Start using them now! If you're an artist, set up in a busy foot traffic area and start using your talents.

     - Set up to do caricatures, portraits(these people can make good money believe it or not
     - Sing/Perform with a box for cash donations...Make a sign that explains why you're out performing (I did this when I was trying to audition for American Idol my first time out. I went to one of the malls here, set up with a sign and a photo box and just started singing. Just me! I made $30 in 15 minutes! After this my mom offered to help me with the $, she thought I was really desperate LOL so I didn't do this again there after. I would/will do it again though!)

+ Ask for donations. A friend of mine at work just left for Africa. Before he left, he asked for donations. He got $50 from not just one, but a few people! You'll be surprised at who might be able to help you :)

+ Take a look at your budget. If there is ANYTHING you can cut out for a while to save, do it. Cutting out some extra expenses will make for some extra cash that adds up...We've got a year to save!!!
