hey everyone..I found this young man on youtube very inspirational and wise on how to handle those "addictions" that come and haunt us from time to time ..Thought maybe it could help those who are struggling with caving into those addictions or falling off the wagon..Enjoy!! and Please let me know what you guys think..or if it helped anyone :)
I found his words quite useful. He has quite a few good messages but I really liked the one about recognising the emotional link to trigger foods (if that's the right way to describe it) such as his example with pasta and the family love connection. I'm often aware that I'm looking for food for the wrong reason and often choose to give in but at other times, I'm very strong and focussed on what I really want out of life and make the healthy choice.
I could recognize this emotional connection myself from a cultural stand point I am Puerto Rican and we have certain dishes in where my family would sit down and eat together and I felt the warmth and love he spoke of as with other certain foods I had found comfort in.. unconsciously ..I thought it was a great message for him to tell us to stop and question ourselves before we make the dive as to why we want this certain food when it pops up and explore it some more ..it could help us break it..I know I have tricked my brain into not wanting certain foods in the past by saying how toxic they are and that has worked too..I just thought to share for anyone that was still having these attachments and could use a bit of extra encouragement :)
Thanks for sharing this vid, Gloria. Perfect for where I'm at!
Great!! Glad it could help :)

I finally watched that; I really like Philip. Amazing that he's recovered from such morbid obesity.
