Hey!
I want to make green juices and smoothies but every time I try, it tastes really bad (bitter and acid). I only have a very normal blender.
Do you know some good recipes for delicious energetic juices or smoothies? Which amount of water do you put in your blender?
Thanx!

maybe i add fresh squeezed citrus a bit sometimes
maybe you add too much greens i never go more than 1 pound a day and or 4% daily and so that means 90%+ of what is in my blender is fruit ;)
Permalink Reply by Minium on June 13, 2012 at 4:57am My very favourite and most simple one is 1 cup of thawed frozen spinach from Picard plus 2 to 3 oranges (depending on the size). I use my very basic hand-held blender and there's no need to add any water. I have it every single morning and my baby daughter craves it if she sees it! :-)
Oh, one invaluable tip (can't remember where I've learnt it though): to clean the blender, whatever the type, use what I call the Aïkido method (= use the force of the opponents against themselves), i.e. blend some water and soap. All cleaned!
Permalink Reply by Karolina Neyrus on June 13, 2012 at 5:01am very simple and one of my favorites: 1L of water about 5-6 bananas and up to half a pound of fresh spinach ..
YUMMY!
another one is 4-5 mangoes and bunch of cilantro.
Try to keep them simple and add a little by little till it appeals to your taste buds.

Permalink Reply by Ben on June 13, 2012 at 7:28am To make JUICE, e.g. I use 200gr spinach, 100gr parsley, 100gr Pok Choi, 1 green apple, 100gr celery, a little ginger, half a lemon, and put them through my juicer and it makes a fantastic green juice.
To make a smoothie, I just add fruits as much as I want into my blender and maybe add 100-200ml water.
I personally dont blend the greens but rather juice them as they still feel quite hard to digest (unless the greens are juiced).
