I just tried some yellow guavas today for the first time and they were awesome and smelled beautiful. Their strong fragrance filled the room and my cats immediately went straight to them (it's not common that they're interested in any fruit I normally have). Does anyone know if it is safe for cats to lick/eat (minus the seeds)?
If anyone has any guava recipes or fruit combinations please share. Thanks a bunch. :o)

Permalink Reply by Kimber on January 28, 2012 at 8:07pm I think they probably are pineapple guavas. The packaging said it was from Mexico. Here's a link that shows the kind of guava I have. It's the yellow ones at the bottom of the page.
Permalink Reply by ali8un on January 28, 2012 at 7:48pm I tried Achacha's for the first time yesterday. They are about the size of a fig but orange in color with a thick skin. Inside they have flesh like mangosteen and, sadly, several large pips (sad because there is less room for the delicious flesh!). So yum! Love trying new fruits :)
