Hi all, Thinking to go WWOOFing in Hawaii beginning in August. From the site, these farms look friendly both to 80/10/10-ers and to those with little to no experience doing farm work...
Lizard Thiket Farms Hua Lani Gardens Hoolawa Iki Farm Kumu Aina Farm (Wisdom of the Land) Sage Farms Sacred Waters Earthly Delights Farm El Rancho Relaxzo Lyman Farms Hawaii Farm And Meditation Center Konacopia Farm Onomea Organics Sanctuary Farm Herenui Farm
...Anybody have strong feelings, one way or the other, about any of these? Or, any that I may have missed?
For what it's worth, Kumu Aina (camping in a Durian orchard!) and Konacopia look like the coolest ones.
Also, considering undertaking a fast while in Hawaii. Mind Your Body looks really good. Anybody know otherwise; or have any other recommendations?
I have a fasting center in Hawaii on the Big Island. I have been an intern with Dr. Goldhamer at True North twice (total time of 9 months at True North). As an intern with True North, I was the primary intern at their Penngrove facility. I am a certified practitioner with the International Association of Hygienic Physicians. I order the appropriate blood tests. I examine and supervise the patients myself. Urine testing is done on-site. Doctor visits each morning and evening, including vitals. We emphasize an all raw diet, natural hygiene, sunlight therapy, fresh air (our location in Kapoho has the cleanest ocean air in the world), and a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. At our facility you will experience fresh ocean breezes all day and all night. We have full views of the ocean. There are no other obstructions between our facility and the ocean. It is very peaceful and quiet. Upon refeeding, you will be able to enjoy the ocean, swimming, hiking through the jungle, picking fruit, etc. If you would like to remain on the island, there are other 80/10/10 communities on the island. An 80/10/10 community just recently formed this year in which Doug Graham is a member of which is approximately 10 minutes from our facility. I could continue to write sentence after sentence of all the reasons any person that is interested in raw foods, natural hygiene, and fasting should come to our facility here in Hawaii. I have been a raw foodist since 1998. I completed my Chiropractic education in 2005. I own the most amazing farm (land, orchard, homes, clean fresh water wells, more different types and quantities of bananas than you could ever handle) in the world in Coastal Kenya. The most amazing climate you will ever experience any place. The air is so clean, so fresh. The land so virgin, fresh, and fertile. Loaded with wildlife: monkeys, baboons, antelope, buffalo, etc.
I just want everyone interested in this diet and lifestyle to know our facilities exist. Because I created ALL of this for PEOPLE LIKE YOU! Because when I was sick, I needed these facilities and they did not exist. I know the other options available. And nothing out there compares to the facilities we have. If you want to have the most incredible experiences of your life, call me. I sacrificed the last 9 years of my life to make all of this happen. None of it was easy. But I have had some incredible experiences. And here it is:
My first time coming to the island I worked on the Kumu Aina Farm. It was nice at that time. Arvid Leeber was the owner. It was very quiet and peaceful with nice accommodations. Arvid was very into raw foods. These days, things are very different. It is not the way it used to be, that is for sure. If you come to the island, come to visit us in the Kapoho Beach Lots near the champagne ponds. If you are interested in fasting, you should come to see me. My daily rates for a private room are $100/day. If you would like to remain on the island after your time with me, I can help you find something that works for you.
Hello my fellow raw goodies! I want to share a little secret that involves skin :) I'm reaching out to all because I know we are all on a conscious and positive path of life. We all have come here to enrich and better our lives through eating health…
Ever since I first heard eggs described as chicken menstruations I've had a problem ingesting them.
I second this Sultana, for sure.
Thanks B, excellent info as usual!
Europe is different.
People started to think about nature and saving nature early on.
We have alot of law regulations about animal treatment at the farms and they are well let us say getting "closer" to the natural one.
for example cows are free run…
no haven't heard that about the soap and cancer, seeing it's allopathic in nature (addressing a symptom not the cause) I can't imagine how that would work.
