So I would hazard a guess and say no. Some people can get away with it, but that doesn't mean they should continue to eat that way. =)

Permalink Reply by Esra on June 1, 2012 at 4:29am Nope! It depends on a person's metabolism (which in itself depends on many things, like activity level, age, sleep, etc), amongst other things.
I've been the same size for the last 8 years. 5'4" and around 110 pounds. I couldn't even tell you my fat consumption before veganism (2.5 years ago) and HCRV (1 year ago), but I ate ALL I wanted, and probably ate around 3000 calories a day - heavy on the fat AND carbs lol. Even when I was just vegan, it was not for my health, so if it was vegan, I ate it (that period of time was probably even higher in fat, I remember eating like 3 large avocados a day, every single day, plus olive oil/coconut oil on everything)! But I didn't gain any body fat because I walked all day long, was very active, and was young :).
Now I'm HCRV, and have been 9/5/5 ever since I started, and I still look exactly the same! I'm hoping to look like this for a long time, so HCRV is definitely the way to go. If I had continued on my earlier path though, I definitely would not look like this in a couple of years :). Of course this is only one of the many positives of HCRV.
