Try grape juice. ;-)
But in all seriousness, there are no toxins or poisons that play a role in 811. Some people do, but it's not part of the lifestyle; it's just their choice to deviate from it in those cases.
get drunk from life, get high on sunshine, clean food, good living and @ss kicking.
No wine and or alcoholic products and for several reasons.
30BaD and the promotion of the low fat raw vegan lifestyle based on whole raw fruits and leafy greens are to promote long term optimal natural health and healing.
The first problem with wines and many alcoholic products is that they may go through a cooking and or fermenting process that creates toxins. So even though the initial ingredients might be organic, the end result is still toxic.
Some people also argue that alcoholic products are not vegan as bacteria and or yeast (fungi)are used in the cooking and fermenting process. Some vegans might classify these as primitive animal lifeforms.
The next problem is the short and long term effects of alcohol consumption. Short term drunkenness followed by a hangover and detox. Long term, degeneration of body organs like the liver. Alcohol does not improve health, rather it degrades it.
Some things to ask oneself when deciding what to eat, would it be available in nature? Can I make a meal out of it? Would I feed it to a baby?
Why do you feel a need to drink this?
If you answer honestly to yourself you will learn some things about you.
Well, I used to drink a lot to have fun, then spent a long time not drinking at all, then drank occasionally. Since going raw, I have had alcohol on a few occasions and every time, not even getting drunk, not the next day, but the day after, my emotions run really low and instead of feeling great and blissing out, I get a nice taste of how I used to feel all the time and would get drunk to escape from. Also, it irritates my bowels for a day or two. I think there may be products that form as your body processes the alcohol that are nasty and harsh.
So just based on that feedback, for me anyway, I'd say alcohol isn't good.
