So last night I was at the grand opening of a great vegan cafe/restaurant in Miami called Choices and it was quite a success - over 300 people showed up. I am not sure if all vegans, but even if half were, I would be happy. So there was samples of food passed around, drinks, etc., but everything was cooked, except the desserts which were pasted dates with some nuts - I tried. So I was asked by so many people why I am not eating and I told them I was LFRV. This created quite the stir around me by the vegans - there were comments like, "dude, if you eat more than two bananas you probably will get diabetes", "it is not healthy to eat so much fruits because of the sugar", "your body is probably saturated from potassium and it is dangerous", and on and on and this is from the vegan community. I was walking around and had a guy actually stop me to ask me why I am such a picky eater - LMFAO! But then, all told me that I must be taking something else because I look "healthy", "fit", and "have muscles", which is not possible on fruits only. Seriously, WTF is wrong with the non-LFRV vegans and why they hate on us so much? Has anyone also experienced this? Oh yeah, and I had this girl commenting that she saw a video of DR on YouTube and she was highly offended by this "attitude" - I just had to laugh and told her, that's why we love him - she didn't like my reply :D

In my experience, SAD eaters are often more positive and accepting towards 811/LFRV than vegans or vegetarians. Why? You tell me ! :)
Maybe vegans feel like they have finally found the optimal diet, and had made alot of changes in their lives. And then these LFRV's come valsing in with their 'even more optimal diet ' ;);)

yep. Because it 'bursts their bubble'. They think they've got it all figured out.

I personally have gotten a lot of interest from meat eaters who want to be healthy and vegans alike. :)

Our best recourse?

Make em want what you have and being "healthy, fit, and muscled" is a good start :)
