30 Bananas a Day!

I've been thinking about this for awhile: with all of her experience and work, and believe me, with all due respect for everything she's done for the "raw food movement," why is Victoria Boutenko still so big? It doesn't make sense! Sergei and Igor are totally buff. Valya is in good shape. Why is Victoria still carrying an enormous amount of excess? I was just watching her in a video taken at Raw Spirit Fest last Fall, and it just doesn't make sense. If she's really drinking all those green smoothies and exercising, and cutting back on the fat and the gourmet like she says she is in her books, what's going on? She looks like she's sneaking donuts! I love Green for Life, total respect for her work and research, but damn it, I want to see results! I want her to look as good as I want me to look! 10 years+ raw should look better than that!

Maybe she's just not exercising.
Theres no such thing as a genetically predisposed 'motherly figure'. Maybe you should visit some of the eastern european countries. They look buff. People have the bodys they do based on their diet, their lifestyle, and their thoughts.

My guess is that she is not exercising enough, and is eating some crap that she isnt mentioning.

Take care

Hey, I am Eastern European and I am not abundant at all, yet I feel very motherly! It's the diet not origin or motherly thoughts. :)
Yeah I agree with you she seems really big for eating only low fat raw. I think what stands out to me about her is that her face still looks puffy like people's faces who are eating cooked. I wasn't fat before I went raw but after a couple month's eating raw my face got thinner I had no idea it looked puffy before until I saw before and after photos.
Yes, she's never said she was low fat. I guess she's eating too many of Igor's crackers. :-) I still love her though, I've seen her talk many times and she is a lovely person. :-)
I love her too, which is why this is bothering me. Yes, she's lost a lot of weight, and in Green for Life, she says that the green smoothies reduced her appetite for nuts and salt, and she says she exercises... It's bothersome, because it seems to come up as an excuse for non-raw people - they look at her and say, "she's fat, obviously this doesn't work!" And she's been 100% raw for over 10 years now...
She is probably not being honest about her diet...I have seen it many times.
common sense.
Russ thanks for sharing this it is important to know this for me.

I knew it was impossible that she was Raw she is obese and does not look healthy.

Could be a nice person but walk the talk please or else write a book on how to make doughnuts.
I think it relies with integrity that is why.

She is making a living on promoting a lifestyle .

If she eats doughnuts then best of luck to her but don't BS people and make money at it.

No different then someone promoting something and doing something different.

Imagine the environmental ceo doing things that was not environmental.
Well, that's a huge bummer, but it DOES answer the question! She looks like she's eating doughnuts, apparently because she is. Oh well. Addictions are hard, hard, hard to break, even when you're a famous raw food author. Viktoras Kulvinskas had a hard time with his addictions, too. I don't mind that - I just want people to come out and say "I believe in eating 100% raw, but I'm having a hard time with it now."
The plot thickens....
