She also sells and recommends 'Kangen water' :/ Not sure exactly what that is, but time to do some research I guess :)

There is so much information out there that it is very difficult to navigate it! All I really know is I have personally searching for answers to my health problems for over 12 years.
Arthritis is a out balance system, flushing it with water will help dramatically. Since I started eating 811 a couple of months ago I have realized that water / fruit is a great detoxifier for the blood. Organic fruit is probably the best water to drink due the fruit containing sometimes upwards of 70 -80 % water through it's composition.
Arthritis is a reversible condition it is just that you may have in the past possibly consumed to much acid pH based foods including condiments which are toxic. Along with our environment and the rest of the crap we live in and through, the modern westeren model life!
Almost every product packaged or produced by the food industry has a low pH to control food spoilage and shelflife for what is known as consumer safety amongst others. So if you really want to feed your body and alkalise it! Stay away from any and all processed food and drink stick to organic fruit and drink plenty of water. Distilled water is a neutral let's say but you really need to flush and move your lymphatic system to start to process this rubbish (toxic waste) which settles in and around the joints causing inflammation. More than a few of ways; exercise or pilates (sorry I have no experience of yoga) body brush starting at the feet working up to your heart, or using a chi machine (we have one, and I like it). Even using a F.I.R sauna.
Think elimination your skin is the biggest organ of elimination, next the liver but I have again found that this diet really helps the liver naturally detox. But you need to help your body move this excess crap out. Blood is 50%, recycling is the other 50% needed and might means LYMPH! = Healthy body and in balance!
Think in terms of your body being being in a state like that of stagnant water you need to flush it with plenty of clean oxgyenated clean water constantly in order for it to function properly. That is how I see it anyway.
Never heard of Kangen water but you never know I have indulged many a specialist and they all have slightly differing thoughts on this.
Just think the body likes alkalising water and foods but if the body is toxic it will creave move acidic things most processed food is a acidic pH of less than 4.6 which I now feel is so detrimental to the body. Feed yourself and flush your body.
There is so many health modalities out there we can fixated on the individual strings that come along through conjecture, reasearch and personal experiences. We sometimes test these strings and grab hold of these as snippets which we apply to our lives. Knowledge is power, but a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. Stay with the big picture and just do what you can, you need to manage the environment not just on element - what mean is 'as manager I my ethos is to manage the whole site not just one or two elements which are in the site' if that makes sense.
Pain and inflammation tells us something is wrong, research the lymph system.
Don't get hung up on having arthritis your body is just trying manage itself.
Hope this helps, and keep smiling. Kevin

Permalink Reply by Kevin Hand on May 11, 2012 at 6:07pm I did the test a few months back so I can't really remember actuals so I am going to set-up a new test and record every step and post the results. Just to make you aware that my pH meter is tested independently to NAMAS laboratory standards and I have the correct buffers. I will test the tap water, distilled (tap water), then the water which I add french green clay to, then with the addition of lemon juice, and finally then taking the water through my vitaliser.
I will endeavour to do this same test at least 3 times. I may even buy some litmus paper to test against so least we can clearly see what happens at each stage from a pH point of view. Thanks for hightlighting this, I am more inquisite now.
Permalink Reply by DesertFox on May 12, 2012 at 5:48pm Distilled is best but you still need a little electrolyte in it at times. I add a little sea salt sometimes but mostly drink distilled straight. I live in AZ where it is crazy hot and I work outdoors. If anyone is an athlete who has cut weight like in boxing or MMA. You would know that distilled water is ok to drink because it doesn't cause water retention like normal tap water. Regardless of what people say I do not believe you can get enough water from fruit alone. At least not in AZ unless you are indoors all day where there is A/C.
