30 Bananas a Day!

My plane leaves this week and I'll be arriving in Bangkok around the 25th, then heading to Chanthaburi, anyone there willing to show a newcomer the ropes? Any tips appreciated.

Yeah I made sure to bring my bike with me. Unfortunately I realize I also brought a bunch of other stuff with me too that I don't need and don't use... gonna have to find a way to sell it. I did see amphora road... I really need to get a map and learn how to get around though, that and get a hotel in a quieter area. What's that huge market in Harley's half hour video and how do you get there? I tried loading his videos earlier but no go. Mmmm, at least this dragonfruit is tasting good.

Checkout Amphaya Rd at the food market in Chanthaburi! and check out the organic farmers market in Bangkok near the Chatchuchak market!

The market opens bright and early in the morning at around 5 AM and then opens again at night at around 6PM...the lovely mango ladies always have delicious ripe and unripe namdokmais on offer. Make sure you buy like 5 kilos so you can have a good stash at hand. I think that mango is in season too. Enjoy!! I'm jealous that I won't be there until late May. :(

Good luck, I'm sure it will get better.  Please tell us all about your stay. I hope to go before too long.

Got out of the city a bit today, was nice. Figure I need to find another place to stay outside the city, probably going to try going to Chao Lao tomorrow and trying my luck there. Trying to DL a eng-thai dictionary but internet is super slow and haven't had any luck so far, if anyone knows a working version for mac, let me know! I hope I can find a real one but for now an app would be great. http://mac.softpedia.com/progDownload/Dict-Thai-Download-109806.html this would be perfect but it won't start downloading for some reason, anyone wanna try DLing it and if it works maybe re-upload it elsewhere? I wanna get a real one too but have no clue where, haven't seen any bookstores yet. Still haven't found a good fruit market yet, I think fruit is more expensive in the city and harder to get bulk... still good stuff though. Wish I knew the name of that huge market from Harley's video. Got a map but its not very useful, at least not so far, couldn't find the tourist place I got it from which claims to be the first left off my hotels street! Oh well. Had some RIPE pineapple for breakfast today followed by mini corn, good stuff. All I can say is the city is not the place to be and I' still trying to find a way to get out and get somewhere better. Hopefully that will be tomorrow.
Koh samui for the week.... Anybody in town?

I think a guy called Olda is in Samui.

I'm still in Chiang Mai.

Hey,

I'm in Bangkok, catching the night train to Chiang Mai tonight. I think I'll be there for six nights. Lemme know if you'd like to meet up.

Hi Eddie

I'm always up for meeting other rawfooders so lets find a day when you get here. I'll be here untill probably the 30.th. of january and then spent two nights in Bangkok before I head for Koh Samet with a friend. :-D

Looks like I'm staying in Chiang Mai a few days longer than expected. A rawfoodfriend is coming up here too.

StyleStacker, keep us up to date with your experience, would love to read what it's like out there. I'm itching to go. . .

I'm here and close to Chantaburi! I live in Chachoengsao which is about 4 hours from Chantaburi. We could meet up in BKK perhaps??
