Hi fruitful people,
Does anybody know of a decent online injectable B12 retailer? I live in the UK, so cannot buy it over the counter (and my GP does not prescribe injectable B12). I have been searching the net for methyl/hydroxo, or straight hydroxocobalamin, shots with no joy!
Advice much appreciated.

I went to a free talk last night by Dr. Brian Clement of Hippocrates Health Institute. One of the audience members asked about B12 shots and he indicated that we should stay clear of them. Apparently they are like amphetamines (he likened them to taking speed). He said that the VitaminCode has an oral one that is good or there was another brand called Raw Naturals by Ben Stone that he suggested. I haven't tried either of these but I just had my B12 levels checked and it was fine. I guess B12 is not a vitamin afterall which I found interesting.
perhaps you should follow suit. I am not an authority on the subject that is for sure but I know Dr. Clement has a Phd in nutrition.
Permalink Reply by Paul Newcomb on I'd like to hear his reasoning on that. It's just a natural vitamin after-all, and from what I understand it's impossible to overdose, so I'm not sure how he can compare it to an illicit drug like speed...
Permalink Reply by Chuckster on Do some googling on B12 overdose. It has been seen in people under medical care. The Trim Nutrition product (2000mcg/shot) that gets pushed around here requires 30x the B12 that Freelee and Harley(1000mcg/month) take to use up during the 3 month shelf life.

Permalink Reply by Chuckster on These cancers caused by B12 have only been seen in patients being treated for something else, but it means we should be reasonable. The Trim product (2000 mcg/shot) requires about 45 shots in 90 days. That's not reasonable. Split it up among 10 people, and you still get 3x the B12 Harley and Freelee get.
Permalink Reply by Paul Newcomb on Right, well I'm following the protocol from "could it be b12" at the moment and it recommend taking 1000mcg every day for one week followed by a gradual decrease until you get to 1x per month for maintenance. The trim nutrition is working well for this initial dosage, but yes, once I'm only taking it 1x per month it will be way too much and I'll have to find it a smaller quantity product.

Permalink Reply by Rebecca Banana on If anyone's interested, I tried to buy B12 from this German supplier, but they would not accept a card payment or cheque and required a bank transfer for overseas orders, which is very expensive. So don't bother with this one if you're in the UK.
