Where do you want to live?

Simple question... where would you live if you could live anywhere in the world?

Please share your insights as to why this place is so ideal :)

honestly... im am really sick of being in such a cold climate. I live in Guernsey, UK and i'd say we've had about 1 and a half months of warm sunshine over the last 6 months, i just cant bear it anymore. I need some money to get off the island, but the plan in 5 years is to be somewhere like australia. A few more years along the road, i wanna be in the tropics, growing my own fruit, but where in the tropics i have no idea. I just love the sun and hate the cold.. like most ppl! :)

smog, heavy coastal fog, clogged roads, exorbitant cost of living, high unemployment (just keeping it real :)

I live in Cali, in the Santa Cruz / Boulder Creek area. IMO the fog isn't a big deal and the mild/warm weather makes up for it, roads can be avoided or biked on, "exorbitant" is relative and there are many tips to living cheap to offset that (growing own food, foraging, simplifying, bartering, etc.), big yes to the beautiful weather/beaches/women/fruit, the produce is beyond delicious and varied, the nature breathtaking... but yes, my positivity can feel a little squashed sometimes too about the high unemployment :)

But all in all I highhhhhhhhhhly recommend it, especially this area if you're into surfing/skating.

I live right on the beach and love California in the winter. It's very cold and dreary in summer on the coast. Call me a downer, but it just is so. We have about the best fruit quality and variety in the country and overall I'm happy to be here.

I feel the same as you mowgli!! I'm sick of beeing cold!!! I'm from Sweden and this summer we have just a few sunny days :( i want to à tropic place, but dont know where yet! I januari ill go to Thailand for 6 weeks :) then i'm gonna move to the sun :D

Ironically enough for me, I could never live in the tropics. Not even really a place I think I would want to live. I think for me I would want to live in the mountains somewhere, far off the beaten path. Pretty hard to get large quantities of good fruit up there, but I need to live in a place with both heat and SNOW. Im canadian through and through, and I love the winter and the snow. Couldn't live in a place that didn't get alot of it every winter.
