Well I made it 18 days 100% HCRV... My original plan was 2 weeks so I was happy to go that far. Only reason I slipped was I ended up at dinner at my godmothers and she had planned this whole meal so I went with it. I didnt eat meat or anything, I kept it vegan but cooked and tried to mainly fill up on the undressed salad that I was lucky to have made it to the table.
My question is now what? So I slipped, no big deal, but lets say I get hungry later in the evening and want a banana or some grapes. Will it be okay to jump right back into the "load up on fruit" mentality? Or having eaten cooked for dinner, should I just pound the water to flush my system of the salt and impurities and begin new tomorrow? How does cooked food weigh on my digestion and the rest of my evening?
Thanks for the help friends.

Ednshell's answer was really helpful to me: "It depends on how you feel, drink lots of water and sleep, drink lots of water and run, drink lots of water and eat some lettuce or drink lots of water and eat some fruit. No matter what have your next fruit meal ready to eat, prepared, ready to consume."
Drink plenty of water, lots lots lots! When you get hungry tonight, have fruit. :) Keep in mind you might get an upset stomach if you eat everything too close together (slow digesting food, then fast digesting food).
Permalink Reply by Squishy on April 27, 2012 at 2:28pm Maybe water fast for 5 hours to flush the fats out of your blood stream. Ive messed up before then ate fruit and got a sugar high. You don't want to end up getting diabetes.
Permalink Reply by Tifore on April 29, 2012 at 3:58pm I'm curious if you could ellaborate on the getting diabetes. Fill me in please?!
Permalink Reply by DURIANRIDER on April 27, 2012 at 7:16pm Id eat more fruit and remember that people are running 2:03 in the marathon on corn and rice.
Be careful of getting in the rut of 'oh Ive eaten xyz so that means I can't do anything today..'
How best to 'pick back up?'. Just keep on living right. :)
Permalink Reply by Macuilxochitl on April 27, 2012 at 7:36pm Yeh, I agree with that. Your body doesn't need special measures for eating cooked vegan one single time; consider it can cope with much worse things and still be functional, so it's no big deal.
Permalink Reply by Yulia on April 28, 2012 at 5:39am I don't think this is the right way to think. There is not "slipping" or "Falling of the Wagon". You ate something cooked, move on and eat some fruit. don't blame yourself all the time otherwise you will feel like cooked food is something forbidden. If you will feel this way, unconsciously you will always want to have it as a treat or a reward. All you should do is eat more of your favorite fruit. Food have to satisfy you! That way fruit will become your treat and reward.
So, just forget about it and go fruit yourself!;)
