has anybody had any experience with this stuff?
whats its place in the raw food diet in terms of nutrition?
has anybody used it temporarily to cure a condition?

Permalink Reply by Jelle on June 23, 2012 at 12:30am I seriously don’t get the wheatgrass thing, I tried it myself, growing, harvesting and drinking it. It tasted awful, give me fruit over grass on any day!! :D

Permalink Reply by Amelia on June 23, 2012 at 2:38pm Hi, Wendy. I can't weigh in on the good or the bad of wheatgrass, but I will tell you about the ugly: Don't overdo it! A friend of mine thought she lucked out when she went to a retreat where they offered all the wheatgrass juice you can drink. She drank two 8-ounces glasses and got very very very very sick! (Just temporary, but wouldn't want you to have to go through that experience.)
Permalink Reply by Wendy Harvey on June 25, 2012 at 9:39am i was told that it triggers an immune response. It has some sort of protection mechanism to deter other animals from eating it while its in its young state.
What i have learnt from my raw lifestyle is that if you cannot consume something in large quantities without falling ill then you shouldn't be consuming it.
i think wheatgrass is for people that have a poor immune system. What i believe it does is it stimulates immune response so that whatever you are suffering from temporarily gets driven back and you feel better.
Just this morning i realised that i do not need it because I slept really well without it. In the past it really helped me because i was a complete wreck
