30 Bananas a Day!

What's the most annoying thing anyone has said to you about your diet?

I know this isn't exactly a productive topic, but...what are some irritating things people have said about the way you eat that you wanna get off your chest? I'll empathize with you if you empathize with me :) here are some of mine:
"just eat some cake, it can be your 'cheat day'" (who the heck has 'cheat days' from veganism??? And thanks for your permission)
"do me a favor and eat some chicken"
in response to me refusing pizza: "sometimes it's okay to be happy"
"there's no way that can be healthy"
that felt good!

"Where do you get your fiber?"

To this day, I'm not sure whether he was testing me or if he was just really that stupid.

Just so you can get the full perspective, he was asking this because I drank a lot of smoothies at the time and he thought that because I blended everything up, the fiber disappeared.

lol yeah I had the same question from someone about how my diet lacks "bulk". Pretty sure fiber=bulk.

Awesome comment!

Most annoying thing yesterday "Do you monitor how much potassium you take in from your banana blends? I know potassium causes heart trouble if you eat too much."

I wanted to say, "Yeah, that's why I've been eating 25 bananas on average a day and my heart has not failed yet. What about that dead animal stomach on your plate? how does the cholesterol, saturated fat, and puss derived gravy effect your heart? You may wanna watch your intake cause more people die from heart disease than anything right now. How many people have you heard of that die from eating too many bananas?"

WTF***, right?

Today was free pizza day at work. As I ate my cantaloupe I was chatting with a coworker about fats and health and pointed out how my skin produced less oils than it used to and compared to most people, as evidenced by her very greasy iPad screen. She said, "but I heard cheese was very healthy". I nearly started rolling around on the floor at that point laughing, but she proceeded to pull up pages on the Internet listing purported health benefits of cheese. Then she said that she has to drink soda along with pizza otherwise the pizza would give her heartburn. I said well that's evidence right there...

By the end of the conversation she said "I think I might be able to survive on just fruit". :)

"The (insert dish here) is vegan/vegetarian, it is made with chicken."

Back when I first told everyone that I was going on a raw food diet close friends and family members were worried about me because I was really really thin before I started the diet and one of them e-mailed me saying, "Jared, I keep seeing videos on YouTube of people who used to be overweight but then they went on a raw food diet and became a healthy weight.... I'm worried about you!"

I heard you were vegan. (yes) I did that before...maybe you would like to attend the nutrition class. You can bring your daughter too.

Interesting you say that. I have found myself being careful who I tell that I am doing this because I think they are going call it my "newest addiction" or an "eating disorder".

Today we had a little party at my (new) office and my collegues began to speak about a former trainee who worked with them the previous year:

"Do you remember the german intern last year?
-Oh yeah Eva! She had tattoos on the arm and was vegan: she was a weirdo.
-Vegan? Omg that's insane: can you imagine eating only fruits and veggies? How terrible...
-You can't even eat a bowl of pastas..." etc etc
And I was just sitting there not knowing what to say, laughing inside. Since I'm very new to this lifestyle AND to this job, I didn't want to make any comment but...well... strange sensation.

I haven't ran into anyone yet, but I think I'll say something about not wanting to have a lack of energy for the next few hours from not eating fruit.
