Hey everyone I know that vinegar is bad for you, but can someone tell me exactly why it is?
When I was a kid (and to this day) I always get a funny reaction to vinegar. It makes my eyes water and I get this weird pressure in my upper sinus. Notwithstanding I really used to love vinegar. I don't like it so much now. Sometimes I smell it when I'm cleaning or something and it smells so horrible to me that I just get this sense that I shouldn't be consuming it.
I'm confused with Apple Cider Vinegar though. There is so much hype about it, and it is recommended by so many health gurus, as well as being used in copious amounts on the Gerson Therapy, which I was under the impression was really effective? Is there actually a difference??
True enough; but arguing in favor of ACV here is against the rules.
I mean .. you can do whatever the heck you want when you're off the forum; but there's no doubt in the long-term it'll probably end up making you feel like crap.
We're all just trying to watch out for everyone and make them feel better. Yes, you're entitled to your own opinion; but trying to rally for poisonous ingredients here doesn't really seem to be in everyone's best interest, or makes us all feel better, does it? There's a reason the members don't use it and that reason should probably be respected.
Not trying to be mean or anything .. just trying to make a point that you can keep arguing and arguing and arguing for it .. but it really isn't going to get you anywhere here. I'm only looking out for yourself and everyone else's best interests, is all.
I just wonder why it is used with success in the Gerson Therapy?
Because Gerson Therapy has absolutely no scientific proof or backing behind it.
I mean, seriously, what do you expect to cure with coffee enemas? That just sounds harmful. If it's poisonous in one end of your body; why wouldn't it be when you stick it up the other?
Wow! I am shocked that someone interested in this lifestyle would come up with an answer like that. And quoting Wikipedia means nothing.
I am not being rude here, I am just shocked at your response.
Have you read about the Gerson Miracle? I personally have had a family member cured by it...
Chemotherapy and Radiation have "Science" backing them.
The work that Max Gerson did, has really had a huge influence on the 80-10-10 diet.
Again, I don't want to come across as rude (it's hard to tell when something is written)
When people go on Gerson therapy, they are eliminating many poisons to the body they were ingesting which allows the body to heal itself.
They were also shooting raw calf liver for a while. That's not vegan at all, nor is it healthy whatsoever.
"Initially, patients were required to drink several glasses of raw calf liver extract daily. Following an outbreak of Campylobacter infection linked to the Gerson clinic's extract, which sickened and killed several of the clinic's patients, carrot juice was substituted."
He managed to kill some of his patients with something that wasn't even cancer. Yipes.
I don't know why you have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars going to some fancy quack-clinic when you have cancer .. Steve Jobs ate lots of fruit, and while he didn't cure his cancer, his life expectancy multiplied SEVEN TIMES. A lot better than any of Gerson's results, imo.
But that's just my opinion.
How many people each year actually die of cancer vs. dying of the cancer "cures"?
Let's not overlook how many people have been HEALED using this method. It actually had a MUCH HIGHER cure rate than conventional cancer treatments.
If you have Facebook, look up "The Gerson Miracle" you can watch the movie for free.
You should read up on something before you are so quick to dis-credit it. ESPECIALLY if that something is not a conventional way of life FUELED by bureaucracy and the bottom line.
And to my knowledge, calf liver juice is no longer used....
Drink a cup and come back and let us know how that goes.
