Permalink Reply by Sydney on July 1, 2012 at 5:07am I've always been really good about sticking to diet decisions I make; I'm not really sure what motivates me, per se. I just don't want to do anything else. I know I'm in the minority, and some food still smells good to me, but I don't really have trouble with that.
What I do have trouble with is exercise. A lot of times, I don't eat enough, or I just don't want to do it. I'm trying to find things to do that I actually enjoy doing, like biking, so hopefully I'll be more consistent. What motivates me to exercise, though, is the idea of being able to do things. Like pull-ups. Or rock climbing. Or aerial silks. Or ballet. Or anything I want. Not being limited is a HUGE motivator for me, and if I think about it, I'll most likely get out there and do something.

I'm pretty new to this lifestyle (have really read a lot about it in the last three months, but started 100% raw only this week). I've spent two weeks of almost raw and the times I ate cooked I felt terrible, specially the only time I ate wheat (it was a hccv pizza -which I love- and I felt so badly I coudn't sleep all night). Well, this is one thing that keeps me motivated :)
The others (not less important) are animals, environment, humans ;)
By the way, I'm not having much cravings, even if I eat with people that don't eat the way I do, so it's not that much difficult, at the moment.

Permalink Reply by vegan witch Ⓥ on July 1, 2012 at 11:05am i dont need to be motivated now as its a way of life - but in the early days all i had to do was look at a meat eaters body & face or smell their body odour to get a boot full of motivation - paleo (animal consumers) bodies are oozing with disease & toxic filth - when your low fat raw vegan you can smell them and identify sickness just by looking at someone.
