what is your favorite way of exercising (without the use of gym) and why?

Kickboxing. Kickboxing. Kickboxing.

Running. Biking. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Body-Weight strength training.

Bikram Yoga! No Doubt, Its 26 postures 2 breathing exercises done in a heated room (105-110 degrees). It stretches and detoxifies every muscle, tendon, ligament, joint, organ in the body! A complete body workout without all the pounding that running does to your body. I do it religiously and feel great. You sweat out all the toxins and breath in fresh new oxygen. It helps with all sorts of problems, bringing fresh oxygenated blood just where it needs to be. Once you go Bikram you know its the King of all exercise. Great for cross training also.
Walking! I am absolutely convinced that this is the best and most natural way of moving for us :)

I dance and i lift weights. I can't stand the idea of going to a gym so those 2 things (cardio and weights) are my favourite and I often do them together too :)

 

No need for fees

No need for special shoes and gear

No need to take the car and drive to a gym

No need to change cause other people will be watching you

No need to make sure the weather is ok (like going for a run/bike etc)

And look at children, they LOVE dancing .  Must be right :)

I love walking/hiking, being outside, esp walking out in the woods is great, very peaceful.

 

When I get a chance, I also really like kayaking, it's just a lot of fun and a great workout!

Sex,for obvious reasons ;)

Right now my favorite way of exercising without a gym is kayaking. It's sooo much fun and is a great arm, back, and shoulder workout :)

I love doing home workouts from www.bodyrock.tv and jump roping or jogging afterwards. I don't even go to the gym anymore. I used to run 45-60 minutes 4 times a week and lift weights twice a week. I have found the workouts to combine cardio and weight training in a challenging, empowering way.

I also like doing yoga DVDs and cycling outdoors when the mood strikes.
