5 years ago I was eating about the same as now, only with occasional binges on tahini
10 years ago...hmmm...I was three years into cooked vegan, don't recall...I know I loved a fake-meat Chinese restaurant, vegan ice cream, vegan burgers, some weird things like lettuce with a quarter cup of white vinegar. After I finished the lettuce I drank the vinegar straight. Bizarre.
18 years ago....ovo lacto vegetarian - my food consisted of:
chocolate (by the pound)
donuts
cookies
ice cream
french fries
blue cheese (by the cup)
pizza
chips
Seriously the only vegetables I ate had to be smothered in blue cheese. Fruit?? Orange soda is as close as I got.
90% of what I ate then (college) was hidden from others, as if it was a mystery why I was obese.
raw vegan.
was getting more into high fruit low fat then...so fruits, greens and low fat, pretty much like now,but less food, cos i wasnt eating enough then, but i wasnt as active as what i am now either :)
10 years ago i was in the edge of ending it all,i was so sick, suffering alot with depression and high anxiety, and desperate as!And thats understating how i was feeling,i woke each morning with,oh my god will i have a good day today?Everything i ate was cooked, and i overate like crazy,i had cut out red meat, and was eating fish and eggs and vegetables, never any fruits(cos apparently that was bad for my colitis hmmmm!)and i was recommended to cook everything because again, raw food was said to be too harsh on my colitis.I felt like death and looked so ill,i was as white as the background here, and when i was home,(which i hated going out )i would close up all the curtains and the house would be completely dark,i hated my life!
coming up to 7 years ago,i 'found' raw vegan, and it turned my life around.thank god!
I wish I journaled exactly what I was eating 5 and 10 years ago!
I do know this though.
5 years ago I either was all raw or vegetarian/vegan.
10 years ago I was discovering and searching for health through fasting and reading a lot of Bragg information. I was on the verge of becoming a veggie.
brekkie would have been oat porrige with dates and rice milk.
lunch i probably would have had a salad sandwich on really good sourdough grain loaf with lettuce, avocado, beetroot, carrot, cheese, hommus, and spinach leaves.
dinner would have been pumpkin soup, more bread and butter, sometimes a salad.
snacks were usually avocado on toast with butter, sometimes goat cheese, veggie and apple juice with ginger.
seriously undereating, and hardly any fruit!!!!
I never realized what a chronic undereater I was until I started to eat fresh.....
5 years ago I was 16, so that means I was already reading up about "healthy" eating. Oatmeal with milk or granola bar for breakfast, peanut butter or turkey sandwich, skim milk and an apple for lunch, fruit between lunch and dinner, for dinner I had a traditional Polish meal (lots of nasty, fried meat, loads of potatoes and some salad drenched in mayo haha) and then I always ate something during late evening hours, like popcorn or more granola bars. I just realizedI always ate at least one apple after dinner and thought my body didn't like apples, since I got so bloated afterwards. Had no idea about food combining back then! And god forbid I skipped a meal..ate 6-7 times a day! On weekends I would sometimes have a binge day consisting of chips. That's about it!
10 years ago I was 11..so I ate what my mama gave me! :)

We are moving from St. Louis this summer and decided S. CA was the place to go for air quality and cheaper fruit. I was surprised to find Fl. produce about the same price as here in St. Louis and with the summers being so hot and humid we decided on…

Humans (as far as I know are all one species) - as far as "species-specific exercises" go, it should be the same as "species-specific diets" - they are adapted for every member of the species and not just some.
Also - if we are from a tropical forest filled with trees, how can you sprint on foot? No animal in tropical forests sprints by foot (there are simply too many things in the way). Theres a good reason tracks only turn left and only twice. If it were…
It's hard to say. My 11 yr. old has been following 811 for 15 months now. I asked him what he eats in a typical day. Lol. He says, how should I know, what should I keep a notebook or something. LOL. This week we are eating tons of cabbage sandwiches…
If we are to assume we were running from predators. What environment were we in and what predators were chasing us?
Large cats? I can't think of any other animal we've found in our tropical pre-historic environment that would have chased us down an…
There are many anatomical features that show the exercise and or lack of exercise any animal may do.
Looking at primates - ones who climb have an opposable hallux (thumb) as well as longer (than we do) arm to leg length ratios. Ones who spend a gre…
Don, I mean in the most respect due:
Where do you consider the activities of foraging and living, as well as the proportions and working of the human body?
If only 20 minutes are necessary for the week - (lets pretend we're in pre-civilization her…
