I add ice to all my smoothies. Not too much but just enough to thin it a bit and to keep it from warming in the vitamix. If I use frozen bananas, then no ice. still working on proper food combining but thus far no issues with digestion and my smoothies. All have a banana base. So here are a few I like:
orange/ frozen mixed berries
peach - uber good variation is 6 frozen bananas, 2 huge peaches and a bit of vanilla = soft serve ice cream
add coconut water to the ice cream and it is a peach milk shake.
mango/ papaya/ mandarin orange/ passion fruit - ridiculously good
mineola orange - I have had banana and mineola shakes, and nothing else, for days straight
mineola orange/ strawberry
kiwi
I can not stress enough how big a difference it makes just trying the same recipes you may use but with different varieties of the same fruit. Like yellow kiwi instead of green, mineolas instead of navel (mandarin, valencia, etc), tangerine juice in place of OJ.
Romaine and banana are my staple meals while at work. Spinach added to most alters the taste very little.
My fave is banana, dates, cinnamon and vanilla blended and then I pour that over chopped bananas and apples.

vw how does your body react to mixing the melon with sweet fruits? on a food combining chart melons are typically categorized as their own kind of fruit that supposedly shouldn't be mixed with other kinds. but I'd like to try just for the taste. sounds great. rockmelon is cantaloupe right?
