30 Bananas a Day!

Hi there!

I am a baby when it comes to this lifestyle. High Fruits/High Carbs is something I have not done. I actually only ate about 1 banana a day for Pre/Post workouts. A high Protein Diet. I tried having 40-50% Protein.  As you can imagine..I am a bit concerned!

I bought tons of fruits and I'm eating massive dates, watermelon and more bananas a day.  Veggies and beans, I love!  I'm in the bathroom pretty often, which I totally get--lots of fiber! I do feel a little heavier and bloated. I just need encouragement here. Anyone? :-/

It could be one little thing your eating that cause cause problems, you should keep a food journal and eat one food by itself for at least a couple days and see which foods are giving you trouble. That's the only way I know to isolate a problem food. Even food allergy tests don't catch everything, as some foods will just not work for you but won't be an actual allergy so only an elimination challenge type diet and careful note taking can help you find what's causing the trouble. It could the littlest thing too, I recall having headaches from stevia "natural sugar" and I had to isolate it to the find the problem.


I'm going to take a wild guess though and say the beans in your diet are the problem, esp if you're eating lots of fruit. You're going to have trouble if you mix starches with fruits in your diet esp. in the same meal. or around the the same time.

I know incorporating all this fruit in my body is going to take some getting used to! My body is on overdrive...lol  I even stopped drinking my All natural Whey Protein Powder, that's killing me!    :-/ But, I'm praying this new lifestyle will help with weight loss, with energy and just overral health! I'm a Insanity,  P90x2 chic, so I know all these carbs will definitely help me with my workouts! :-) I may be stressing for no reason.... I will say the fruits keep me full! That's always a good thing! My calories have now been about 2500, mind you....I was trying to keep it at 1500-1700! HUGE changes!

I'm still trying to adapt in not eating meat and dairy! I had a high protein diet for years......BUT, I felt my energy was lacking! I saw one of Freelee videos via a FB friends profile and I was super intrigued! So I bought tons of fruits and I'm trying to detox and get used to this lifestyle.  The Raw Vegan lifestyle may be too much for me to handle, for now.  Taking baby steps...eliminating Dairy and Meat.  Tons of fruits, veggies and beans.  I guess beans are a no no..?

I will look into the 811.  Without too much effort on your end, can you share what your daily meals look like?

Before a workout, I'll have about 10 Pitted Dates and Watermelon.  After my workout I'll have a Protein Shake with a banana in it.  I now snack on fruits throughout the day and some kind of veggie meal. (cooked) for now... ;) Black beans, Blackeye peas (my fave) with collard greens, kale, etc. of course tons of H20

The protein shake is what's holding you back. That's a chemical waste dump, mainlined into your body. You don't need it!

Dates and watermelon should not be eaten together. This combination of foods will def give you digestive issues. Dates and bananas are better. Melons should only be eaten by themselves and one type. All watermelon or all honeydew...never mix them.

So much to learn. I appreciate all the feedback here. The combination of Dates and Watermelon is so darn yummy, but I'll stop that.  I'll choose banana and dates next time! ;) And melons by itself. Hope that helps.. My body will definitely go through a major detox/transitional period. I just hope this new lifestyle helps me.  No meat or my yummy Whey Protein Powder! :-( Or my greek yogurt! LOL

Hi Wendy.  When I tell you that this is a whole new world for me....it's crazy! Whey Protein has been my go to for years!!  I've stopped taking it for 2 days now, I fogot I had "Alive" it's Soy Protein. Non Gmo that I took today.  I really didn't want to add Soy in my diet, maybe Tofu hear and there.... I workout heavily! Intense Cardio, Weight training...so where could I get the Protein from?

Totally normal. I had a similar experience. I was bloated and was in the bathroom a lot. It's much better now. Make sure you are combining food properly. Mono meals is the way to go for optimum results.

Ding ding ding! Beans! Beans and bean sprouts will cause bloating every time
