30 Bananas a Day!

I bought a bunch of baby watermelons because they went on sale at the supermarket. The first day I had 2 for breakfast with no problems and it was awesome. Second day I ate one but then I experienced a weird stomach pain and I couldn't eat a second one. This happened for two more days so I decided to try and blend it up instead. I blended it up with some fresh mint and the pain was less intense but still there. Then did the same thing today and it's really bad. I'm getting frustrated because I don't want to waste the melons but it's really uncomfortable. It lasts for only about 10 minutes but I'd rather it wasn't there at all! I can't really describe the pain.. it's not like a feeling of fullness or nausea it's just a general dull ache through my entire chest and stomach area. Any idea what could cause this?? Tonight's the worst it's been

Did you eat them alone? Like nothing else at least half hour before?

Yes of course! I had 1L of water a half hour before. I always eat melons alone

I've notice this happen if the melon is too cold (room temp settles best with me) and if food combining is not proper. You always want to eat melon first thing in the morning before having eaten any other food, and always eat melon alone for optimal digestion! And depending on what you ate the night before, the melon could be "catching up" to last night's dinner.

Well, it was defs room temp. It's too cold to chill my food. All I had earlier today was orange juice, with pulp, and water. I feel like a melon wouldn't "run into" juice even with the pulp though. My dinner last night was dates so it should've digested fairly well. I drink 3L of water a day, sometimes 4. I drink a L half an hour before each meal

One possibility:  There's something about melon that invites wolfing it down, sometimes sucking down extra air with it.  Thus it's important to take your time eating at a calm measured pace.  True if blended too.  Chew and take your time with it.

Yeah I thought it might have something to do with eating it too fast. I will try to eat it significantly slower next time. Maybe skip the blending since I chug juice like a mofo

eating watermelon  slowly is not easy  to do   !!!!

but it is worth the digestive rewards every time

Haha that picture!

mmm, catchy tune  ;)

ya when I eatem it had to be with nuthin else its a whole food all buy its self and it lets you no :)

This sounds like melon belly and what I've heard is that a chromium deficiency is the culprit.  Apparently it can also happen for some folks with grapes and apples.
