Does anyone have any idea why I sometimes get very intense tightening in my chest and extends to my neck when I eat watermelon? I usually have to lay down for abit until it subsides. I also get really warm like my temp has gone up. Not sure what is going on. I eat the melon at room temp most of the time. Any ideas out there?

There's something about eating watermelon that must cause me to gulp alot of air. Anyway, I can feel very strange before I burp.... the symptoms could be similar to those you describe.
so maybe just gas?????

I haven't wanted any water hardly since eating 811. will up my water intake and see if that helps. Thanks so much.

Permalink Reply by Dylan Meditates on September 1, 2012 at 6:28am i had problems w/ watermelon but i love it so much, so here is my solution: chew every single bite slowly and lovingly and take a big deep breath between every mouthful. yep, it takes a while to finish the melon. but i can go through a whole melon w/ no problems now

I had this problem too. Turned out that it was gall stones for me. I haven't really had any large amount of watermelon since my gall bladder removal though to definitively say that it was also what caused the same pain for me.
How intense is the pain? The warm feeling is likely from pain. Whenever I was passing a gall stone I had severe pain and could stand outside @40 degrees with a tshirt on and still be sweating.
