Inspirational!  I'm trying it my next trip in.  Do they just throw the spotted bananas out?

I used to work at an organic whole foods store, and the moment the bananas got spots on them they'd bundle them into 50% off bags. I used to scoop those up on my way home... bwahaha... the fools ;)

Good for you! I don't always think of asking but once I ate some delicious tangerines and liked them so much I went back to the store a few days later and asked if I could buy a box of them. They said all they had left was what was on the shelf which were all really ripe so they wrapped up about half of them and gave me 50% off (but said that the rest were still good so I would have to pay full price). I was happy though with the deal I got :)
