Very important to all of us - Protect Organic Farming

Hello Everyone:

Please contact your representatives in the House and the Senate and tell them to NOT support HR875 or S425. If Obama signs this bill (sponsored essentially by Monsanto) will make it criminal to do organic farming. All farmers will have to use pesticides!!!! and will have to use GMO plants.

All food producers will have to pre-register with the federal inspectors (so even local farmers will have to register).

If you sell at all even at the local farmer's market or a coop you won't be able to do any of that without federal regulations (probably regulations made up by Monsanto).

The inspections will be outsourced to large frankenfarmers to do the sampling and testing.

Each infraction could be up to a million dollar fine!!! This new agency many use the funds to carry out further infractions. So it will be highly motivated to fine heavily.

The entire pretext for this bill is that they are just addressing the needs of "immune compromised consumers". And, let's face it, is the food industrial complexes that are

This bill is moving our nation in the opposite direction from where we need to go. We need education. We need more raw organics.

Unhealthy foods are coming from the huge agribusinesses and Monsanto and it's bioengineers may end up shaping the inspection for organic foods at the local level.

Do what you can to stop this. Please. This has a very high likelihood of becoming law. And it is scary!
