You mentioned reading 'natural hygiene texts', Is this information about healing with food rather then medicine? Could you recommend any good books? It sound so interesting.
Thank you again :)

this one tells of our encounters with vaccination:

(please note what my son's doctor said)
there were a couple of books we consulted regarding all this way back in the early 90s:
(i didn't know there was a volume 3 - there was only one book back then).
there are lots of other books on this topic, but we never bothered to read any of them.
yogaranka is right - there are no safe vaccines and this is because the entire idea is pretty convoluted. i've spent a fair bit of time working with handicapped kids and we kept running into some who had been permanently damaged by vaccines. the docs will admit there is a chance that will happen, but they babble on about how the disease is much worse. what they don't always tell you is that the immunization often leads to the disease (and of course much worse). big pharma is a big business - so caveat emptor!
my son was never vaccinated, has been vegan since day one. all this greatly upset my father (the great medical doctor!) who accused us of being criminals. he paid for his arrogance because my son forced my parents to go veg when he was around 9 (he's 22 now).
my son has never gotten sick (beyond a mild fever when teeth came out) - even when his school friends had all sorts of issues. one reason is that his immune system is in optimal shape because it hasn't been messed up with poisons.
regarding nh texts, we've gone with shelton and you can get many of his books for free here:

Thank you for all the links and books, it's great, I love researching!
It is also great to know this information has been around for a while, but also amazing that immunizations are still around considering the evidence. I suppose it's the same as people still eating meat despite the evidence..
Thank you for taking the time to reply. It has been very helpful :)

exactly! most people don't want to change or even research. even when they are hit in the face with the volumes of evidence (peer reviewed research, large sampling studies etc), many will not be bothered to make any changes even if it kills their children. denial is a powerful sickness.
they want to be told what to do by some 'expert' and not take responsibility. it's far simpler to pass the responsibility onto someone else, though what they don't realize is that you can't pass the consequences over so easily.
so it's terrific that you are finding out about all this for yourself!
check out our science category here.
for nutrition, i strongly recommend this site:

Permalink Reply by Taleesha on April 18, 2012 at 3:49pm Yes, denial. It defiantly is a powerful sickness. I have discovered this a lot. I get so excited when I find new information, I share it and people are just like assume it isn't true. :/
Yes, 'experts'. I think it was in one of Freelee's videos, where I seen her mention something like 'why would you listen to health advice from someone overweight' (referring to a nutritionist and it just made so much sense!
Thanks for the website, I am so grateful for all these links, it is wonderful!
Thanks again :)

Your website "article" is brought to you by:
"The California Immunization Coalition is a non-profit, public-private partnership dedicated to achieving and maintaining full immunization protection for all Californians to promote health and prevent serious illness. To learn more about CIC, visit:...."
[So, ALWAYS question the source. This is an isolated case, not the norm.]
Also, why the scare tactics? Why no statistics about how nearly all cases of newborns getting pertussis are from a personal caregiver/other adult bringing the disease to the newborn? Meaning if coughing people are around your kid - your kid might get sick! Pertussis is rarely fatal. Vaccines, however, are known for their adverse reactions - pertussis vaccine in particular. Vaccines also do not last forever, nor do they guarantee immunity. As Yogaranka already said, your best defense is a healthy system. Breast-fed, skin-to-skin, non immuno-compromised babies will fare the best.

Permalink Reply by Lolita on April 18, 2012 at 10:53am Also - standard prenatal care includes testing the woman's blood for immunities. So, this also could have been prevented - from a PRO-vaccine standpoint - by the mom being up-to-date on her shots, and breastfeeding her baby to pass on protective immunity. In theory.
Permalink Reply by Taleesha on April 18, 2012 at 11:07am Thank you for taking the time to reply. I did notice at the end of the article the guilt trip to try and get everyone vaccinated. It just started me thinking. Thank you for your opinion, it makes a lot of sense. I will be sure to check out those links.
Thank you again :)
Permalink Reply by Lolita on April 18, 2012 at 11:20am Exactly! I've gotten into the habit of doing that - for example, someone points out an article, news story, whatever, and wants you to "re-think" your vegan diet/HCRV diet/personal values, etc... but the article is sponsored by a drug company, or the American Medical Assn, or the USDA... just gotta see who is behind it. Same with "studies" that are thrown around. Always look for peer-reviewed, published, and recent studies, and then look into it some more :-)

Yes looking into this lifestyle I keep hearing mentions of how the meat and dairy industry are the ones producing 'research' to say the products are 'good for health' or whatever they are trying to claim at the time. It is so interesting how deceiving or misleading companies are, It feels good to question more things and find out the truth!
Thank you so much for you info/help :)
