So I was at the doctors office today so I could get a blood test since being hcrv for 6 months..
Anyhow, the doctors knows I have a couple younger kids, in passing she goes: "your kids should eat red meat atleast 5 times a week".. wtf?
Have you had any 'advice' from doctors that's made you cringe?
report them so at least their snide remarks are documented
she obviously doesn't agree with going vegan, ha..
I am thinking like those DR review sites. so it warns people
Majority of Doctors piss me off. But then again they are human and have been brain washed like the average american out there... Anyways when doctors say something like that I usually disagree with them or just go smile and not say to much. Because I can only chose my actions not theirs.
'i respectfully disagree and feel shocked you would put my children's health at risk like that"
My brother, who is a phd economics, reminds me that half of all doctors finished in the bottom half of their class. protein intolerance, pku, results in severe retardation and is the reason all babies are heelpricked at birth here in the advanced west. what isn't so well-known is that humans have practically no protein in their milk unlike other mammals.
it seems strange that you are going to a industrial medical worker who you dont value or agree with
no other way in Australia to get a blood test :/
Years ago when I was considering going vegan my boss (who also is a DR) said that I would get fat because I will have to eat more carbs. She was half right.... We do need to eat more carbs but if you are not aware of 811 than you are going to turn to bad carbs and get fat.
Ugh, that's so annoying, I haven't eaten red meat once in my life and was an extremely health child... probably due to the fact that I did not eat red meat!
and guess what.. the doctor giving the advice is obese :/
