Hi Guys,
I am 20 years old and never had acne until this year. I went on the Depo shot for birth control a year ago and my doctor told me this is most likely the cause of my acne. It was really bad at first and now it is getting a little better.
I heard HCRV can heal acne, I have been trying to go 100% for about 2 months now but always end up slipping up. I need some inspiration, so if any of you have a success story about clearing acne or any skin problems I'd be very glad to hear them :)!
Thank you,
Kali

Permalink Reply by Milos Stepita on June 11, 2012 at 7:13pm I cleaed up my skin mainly on hcrv mainly bananas, dried fruit, juices, with some cooked dinners, such as potatoes, barley and steam veggies. I never use any salt, sauce or oil. Always getting about 4500cals a day or more. I drink about 5-6 litres of water a day, and always drink before each meal and sleep 10-12 hours a night.
in first months my skin got worse due to detox, which takes so much patience. It will be hard sometimes to shift your focus from picking on the pimples to doing something else and it takes practice. I advise you to carefully plan your day by doing your favourite activities so you don´t think about your acne at this stage.
After you go through the detox which can last from several weeks to few years, depends on how intoxicated a person is from previous lifestyle and how comitted he/she is to getting enough sleep, water and carb cals. After detox you can have an occasional pimple now and then which is best to leave alone until your skin will completely clear up. For me detox lasted about about a month and my skin was already very clear in about 3 months time.
Permalink Reply by Kali Flanagan on June 12, 2012 at 7:48am Thanks Milos! I will try to have patience during detox. I have never really been a healthy eater ( I LOVE candy) so hopefully my body doesn't take too long to get rid of the toxins..
Ya I've been eating mostly HCRV (some cooked potatoes/vegetables in winter) for about a year now and my acne actually got worse when I started this diet but I felt great so I kept with it. In the last few months my acne has pretty much disappeared. I am acne free without using any products at the moment. Occasionally a pimple will come up, but sometimes they last literally less than a day for me on this diet. Just be persistent and patient.

Permalink Reply by Dominic Schumerth on June 12, 2012 at 3:27am My skin has cleared up significantly since I cut oil and salt out of my diet. If you haven't yet I'd recommend it.

Hey! so the reason i started LFRV was because of my skin! Eww it was gross i had oozy white heads and nasty flakey skin for almost ten years! I was extremely embarrassed and self conscious, it was holding me back in life.
Permalink Reply by Kali Flanagan on June 12, 2012 at 7:46am WOW! You look great! Thank you for the inspiration! Today I was almost 100% raw, but I feel the way you used to feel.. I am embarrassed to leave the house sometimes :/
