30 Bananas a Day!

Aloha everyone!

My name is Allan Yoza and I run an organic noni farm on the Big Island of Hawaii! We grow lots of organic, mostly wild, fruits! We have tons of bananas, mango, noni, lychee, sweet white pineapple, lillikoi (passionfruit), avocado, papaya, coconut, guava, waiwi strawberry guava, citrus, jak fruit, mac nuts, jav plum, surinam cherry, thimble berry, cherry tomatoes, rose apple, mulberry, young (fruiting) fig trees, surinam cherry, chinese water chestnuts, egg fruit, mountain apple, rose apple, and more! We plan on planting starfruit, sapodilla, chepedak, sapote's, melons, rambutan, longdon, and so much more! Have any ideas? We would love to hear!

We have some cabins to rent and we accept work exchange! We ask for 20 hours/week, in exchange for rooming, all the noni juice you can drink, all the fruits you can get your hands on, sunday surfing, bhakti yoga, kirtan, hiking etc! There are steam vents just a mile up the road for a sunrise steam every morning (or afternoon, or night time), lovely black sand beaches 5 miles up the road, and also hot water ponds close by!

Work includes all different types of farm work. It can be anything from planting trees, mulching, composting, vermi-culture, building, juicing, painting, cleaning, harvesting, pruning, you name it! Work can be real laid back, or it can be also hard labor for some good ol' fashion excercise!

30 it is ;) We love new volunteers because we are able to learn so much from them and them from us! One wwoofer just came in and got a vermi-culture system set up, planted 120+ non gmo- strawberry papaya, transplanted dozens and dozens of mangoes, jakfruit, avocado, banana, pineapple and so much more!

anywhere from 1 second to an eternity :) Obviously the longer the better. More knowledge and help is always a necessity at Dharma but everyone has the right to live, however they want!

I've been planning a trip to Hawaii for awhile to do this just this kinda thing. I'd be one of those people you can't seem to get rid of - would stay a long time if the environment was mutually beneficial. You might be hearing from me. Researching different prospects now.

We love to teach! Experience is never a necessity. Everyone must learn someday! I'm sure you have some valuable information to share with us, anyways!

We/ they want to plant some durian but I hear this a TOUGH one to grow. They are extremely picky, and if they do take off, it's about 15-20 years to mature. The time is not a big deal for me, I believe that even if I cant consume it someone else will and will be extremely happy for my effort. There needs to be more research done of excactly what the durian likes and which are the best varieties. Don't want to work hard for 15 years to have a decent durian! Even though, a decent durian is better than no durian!!!
