oops...so yesterday I overexceeded my fat intake and let me tell you....i needed more sleep, had slight bags under my eyes until a slept a couple more hours, and overall just feel....like i am still digesting?? well i feel full still. ick! guess that's incentive to be more aware...it wouldn't be too much of a problem if i had been able to exercise like i normally do, but i only took a couple of 30 minute walks. i also took a 4 hr nap yesterday after the massive fuerte avocado.
anyone else have experiences similar to or different than mine?

You're probably not still digesting, but the lipids are still in your bloodstream, so the insulin is having some trouble transporting the glucose out of the arteries and into the lymphatic fluid to be delivered to the cells. The lipids can stay there for as long as 48 hours after you consume them. Basically, you have oily blood.

Permalink Reply by molly clare on April 20, 2012 at 3:36am Hmmm thanks Peter...I understand now why I felt sluggish upon waking. Crazy to know lipids can stick around for that long after consumption!! Time for a hike after a delicious smoothie. Oily blood begone!!
