Since around 4 pm until now (it's 9:18 pm) I've had like at least 5 trips to the bathroom to have a bowel movement and I don't know how many times I peed today because I stopped counting after the 5th or sixth time. My urine is almost transparent and my stools are formed and not like diarrhea or anything. There is a slight discomfort in my lower abdomen and some light noise, but it tends to go away after my trip to the bathroom. I want to know if this is normal, if it is a part of the detox process. Just some background info: I'm still new to 811 (although I've been cooked vegan for 3 years and during that time raw gourmet off and on) and have only been doing 811 for close to a month. My husband and I are totally committed although there maybe one or 2 condiment hang-ups that we are phasing out. Today so far, I've had:
-1L. of water on rising
-16 oz. of OJ
-later a banana smoothie (6 bananas-750 ml. purified water- 3or 4 Medjool dates)
-1 large salad-like serving bowl size (baby greens-handful of shredded carrots-2 pear tomatoes-1 T. of a salt-free walnut pesto that we made-1 sliced steamed beet-and a homemade honey mustard dressing-I know it's bad, and today was the last day for that dressing.)
-1/2 a lg. yellow melon -16 oz.homemade "V8" juice (a mix of juiced veggies w/tomatoes and 1/2 a clove of garlic ( I know the garlic has to be eliminated-we're working on it :)
Anything I'm doing wrong or should do differently? I almost want to eat a small bowl of plain rice to stop going so often eventhough I don't want to.

Get more dates and bananas in so you have more energy to live more passionately.
#I dont know about others but I prefer being light and lean vs bloated and backed up from stuff that takes longer to digest then fruits and tender greens.

I think I'm doing better. My husband talked me out of eating rice and I just drank some lemon water and went to bed early. I woke up this morning feeling better. I finishing up a huge banana+date smoothie after eating 1 mango+1papaya+some melon earlier this morning. I'm just going to stick with 811 and endure all of the detox symptoms b/c I know this is the best way to eat and live, but it's just hard in the beginning and some of the detox symptoms are a bit scary at times.
Try not eating anything with melons. They digest best by themselves. Try to stick to proper food combining, and your transition into 811 will be much easier :)

Oh and remember, stay hydrated and get lots of sleep, else no matter what you eat you won't get the results you desire. Good luck!
