30 Bananas a Day!

Hi there,

Just a little background - I've been trying to go 811 for a little over a year now.  I've been going back and forth from lfrv to cooked vegan. In the past when I decided to give 811 a go - I'd still eat overts everyday (always under 10%).  Now 2 wks ago, I decided once and for all that I no longer had enough room in my life for cooked food and decided to go 811 FOREVER! 2 weeks in so far so good. And, I'm overt free on most days.  Less than 10% for the day when I do eat them.

I'm eating between 2500 to 3000 cals/day working on sticking around 3000.

So this time around, in the past 2 weeks I've had several detox symptoms - I think due to less overts?

I've also been getting these little things coming up from my throat.  I don't know how to describe them other than small cream colored grains.  They are stiff enough to hold their shape, but soft enough to be able to smoosh with your fingers.  They smell like halitosis - I know...gross! From researching online, they are tonsilloliths or tonsil stones. Internet says they are made up of bacteria and mucus that solidify in the crevices on your tonsils. Also says they can cause bad breath - luckily upon survey of loved ones - I don't have bad breath!

I've had a few of these in my lifetime before going 811, but just passed them off as a little pieces of food.  And in the past I only had one at a time.  Well in the past 2 weeks, there have been 2 mornings, including today, when I hacked up at least 5.  This morning I had a really big one.  ANYWAY - could this be a result of going 811?  Has anyone else experienced this?

I have had these! Thank you for mentioning this! It SUCKS. I think it's just the body cleaning itself out and stuff. Do not worry, they fade after a while. Such a gross phenomenon of the human body.
It is kinda gross...although, it's not that bad.  I'd rather spit one of these out every once in a while than have horrible headaches or bad fatigue or something like that during detox.
Thanks Sally-Ann. I figured either way, it's my body getting rid of stuff I don't need.

This is probably a result of detox.  Now that you are eating properly and the body is not overwhelmed with dealing with poor foods, it is getting down to the business of tissue repairs and detoxing.

You tonsils and glands act as little filters for yucky debris within the body.  Give it a month or two, and hopefully these things will subside.

It is better that it comes out than stays in in the form of clogged arteries among other problems.

Peace, PK

YES!!  If I were to eat dairy today I would have them tomorrow.  They are soooo gross.  Other cooked food might cause me to get them if I ate it for many days in a row, I can't remember.  I know dairy always has caused them for me though.  Never knew of anyone else who got them.
These are not from detox.  It is just bits of partially digested food that gets trapped in the pockets of your tonsils.  Gargle with water after eating to rinse the pockets.  If that does not work, get a water pic and flush the back of your throat gently at the lowest setting.  Do NOT stick anything back there like a Q-tip or stick because the tonsils are very sensitive and abrasions from these types of objects can lead to infections, some of which can be serious enough for hospitalization.
Yes, I have had them.  Digestion of starches and sugars begins in your mouth with the amylase in saliva.  They are whitish because of the starch/sugar.

I have always wondered how much dead candida shows up as white sloth upon tongue and tonsils during detox. We have such an overload of candida with sad food. Along with all the other things that the wrong food promotes.

As you are hacking up these hairballs in the mornings...you could be having massive amounts of sinus drainage while you are sleeping. Sounds like they have opened up and are pouring out.

Hmm...I haven't eaten any milk in over a year.  And before that one instance probably a year before that.  Could be detox I guess.
I think milk may cause them if one is allergic to milk (and most humans are) but they can also be caused by environmental allergens. I have not consumed milk in several years and I notice that I get them when I have an allergy response to pollen.
I have gotten those my whole life. But I get them very rarely since going raw (maybe one stone 2 or 3 times per year). I think it is an immune defense response. I notice that I get them when I feel a little sick. I never seem to actually get sick enough to stay in bed for the day or cancel work but 2 or 3 times per year I feel a little "under the weather"  for a day or two and then a gross stone will pop out of my tonsil. I think regular gargling with food grade hydrogen peroxide can help or gargling with water and a few drops of tea tree oil.

I just realized I have these! I have been trying to source my bad breath forever just writing it off as needing to replace one of my caps. But after doing research and reading this post that is exactly what I have. I have been following rt4 for 1.5 years and havent eaten any cow dairy since 2009. HELP! This is terrible so frustrating to have good oral hygiene and a clean diet and suffer from bad breath :-( I was reading online it could be the shape of my tonsils have large pockets and you can have them lasered kind of like shaved so it cant happen again. Sounds so extreme but if this problem doesn't go away naturally I don't know what else to do. Bad breath is not something that I can tolerate.
