Hi!
Another fruit addict here, from FInland. :)
Just something I wanted to share since there's alot of talk about that you cannot have eating disorder, jsut eat enough fruits. Well, what is too much and what is not..
Since I am a new to eating like this (even though I tried LFRV for 5 weeks last fall), I want to know what are the limits. I mean, everyone's different, everyone's more or less active than another but I am really starting to worry that I DO have a god damn bad eating disorder.
Today's eating after 10 hours of sleep.
Woke up, went to jog about 30 minutes, some push-ups and pull-ups.
Then about 1 litre of water and a smoothie with an orange and 6 apples.
Cycled to shop, some shopping, cycled back hours later, then decided to eat again some fruit and then hit the gym. Okay, drank 1 litre of water, ate one honey pomelo, and then 8 peaches...couldn't stop, ate 2 more and an orange...and still ate, now something like 30 dates later(!!!!) I am still eating dates. :( ...more and more.
No way I am able to go to gym.
My problem is that if I start to eat, I usually eat until I am full and then unable to move or do anything. :/ That's why I am afraid to eat until late at evening, when I know I don't have to go anywhere, but it's hard for digestion to eat s***loads of fruits at one sitting to get enough calories unless you eat 1 kg of dates, just like I've been doing right now.
Anyone else had similar problems?
Or am I just a person who has too much emotional problems with food and use it as some sort of comfort?
Cause no matter what the food, I always eat A LOT!

Permalink Reply by Entomba on February 15, 2011 at 7:42am Came home today and decided to eat some bananas...I was hungry.
But after eating more then 20 bananas (half of 'em as a smoothie), app. 25, I lost count after 10. :(
I still continued to eat. SO far, after the bananas, I've eaten one head of cellery and about 30 dates...and I am still feeling somehitng is missing, not satisfied e´ven thouhg I am kinda full.
What to do?
That is already way over 3 000 calories at one meal, took me over an hour to eat that.
Something's not right. :(
Any comments.
This is supposed to go like this.
Should I stop the dates, cause I think they are too addictive...
Permalink Reply by Entomba on February 17, 2011 at 3:10am I went to a gym and talked about nutrition with a personal trainer.
She said, it's okay not to eat meat, but she stills prefer to eat meat to get the perfect amino acid construction.
I didn't tell her about 811, she seemed to be old-fashioned, believed in eating 5 to 6 times a day, 3 big meals, whereas I believe more on eating 1 to 3 times a day, only when hungry...
But she made good points too.
And I am thinking of trying lf but eating more than just fruits and veggies to see if my perfortmance gets better and if my muscels start to grow aand also what happens to my hair and skin....
Hard times, I can tell you.
It always s about nutrition that worries me. Always. :(
Permalink Reply by Entomba on February 17, 2011 at 4:01am I know Derek. Thanks though.
But the truth is some plant foods lack essential amino acids unlike meat always has all the essential amino acids. So, to thrive on vegan diet you have to eat more varied foods compared to meat eaters whe it comes to amino aicds.
Amino acid pool is emtied every 6 hours.
I just listene don einterview about raw fooder, the writer of fruitful nutrition, and she said the same thing: some plant foods doesn't have all the essential amino acids.
But eating meat is not the optimum way for health, I know it from my personal experience.
Permalink Reply by Entomba on February 15, 2011 at 7:53am Yeah, I was thinking that too...
I ate s***loads of clementines in the morning. I was so stuffed that I slept 30 minutes again...then felt kinda good throughout the day, then came home and decided to eat a banana smoothie and I got a "bit" lost as I wrote. :P
I am drinking lots of water during the day, more than 2 litres and from 0,5 to 1 litre before meal.
Well, let's see how this shapes up.

Permalink Reply by Entomba on February 15, 2011 at 8:01am Yep, I am not a snacker kinda guy but previously I only ate once a day. So would you suggest that I only eat once a day still?
I don't think that is optimal for health...to eat once a day as Freelee pointed out to me last week.
So I tried to eat earlier and always happens the same, I eat too much at once, in a sense that I am so stuffed that I am either unable to physical stuff or just feel bad.
I am kinda lost wheter to trust my senses when hungry and jsut eat or try to limit the amount of food.
Why it is so hard to eat?!?!? :(
