30 Bananas a Day!

I’m interested to know exactly how do dedicated passionate vegans who are opposed to vegan pet food (of which there are many) expect a vegan utopia to be? I’ve come across so many vegans who argue so adamantly for the end of animal exploitation and yet are just as adamant against the concept of their cats and dogs or whatever being fed anything but meat. Some vegans say people just shouldn’t own pets, but we know that is an unworkable concept in society’s current state.

I can only conclude that their vision of a vegan utopia will be one where on behalf of meat eating animals human vegans will raise and slaughter plant eating animals. Will YOU be that “vegan” willing to carry out that act?

Please answer quickly, for the sake of the vegan movement. This is such a major and seriously undiscussed issue.

Do you see a future where human vegans will slaughter plant eating animals indefinitely on behalf of meat eating animals? Will there have to be a new name created for vegans opposed to vegan pet food?

i am going to say that no utopia does containment exist nor domestication.

humans relations with each other to get remade away from the need of control but in cooperation and connection on deep levels not displaced by affection towards 'the 16'

give them sanctuary and a healthy happy last long life

PS not names or more static labels (as there ARE no vegans, but people who EAT vegan ;)  ) and yes people who do hypocrisy will forever be spoken up about so we can have accountability and not stuff happening to other sentient creatures we would not ourselves  desire.

also, what is the 16

cows, horses, sheep, pigs, chickens, dog, sheep, cat, guinea pig, honey bee, water buffalo, donkey, duck, goose, turkey, ostrich, llama, camel. ferret, mice, oxen

Yes, in a utopia there would be no pets. So the whole "in society's current state that is unworkable" thing is not relevant, as a utopia is far from that which is clearly not a utopia.

I can only assume the vegans who support killing animals to feed captive animals have incongruencies that need to be worked out.

Speaking of incongruencies, we, in our eternal cleverness, have invented vegan diets for dogs and cats. The problem: We speak against the evils of cooking food, the poisons created when we cook food, and the nutrition that gets destroyed when we cook food. Then, we say "go to happyhealthyveganpetparadise.com and make some cooked vegan recipes for your pet, so they can thrive on poison!"

So I say: There is no raw vegan utopia with pets, but in a raw vegan dystopia that has pets, there should be only raw vegan pets, lest we forget our goal of a utopia.

What say you? Do you (plural, I'm not specifically asking YOU) possess the cleverness to explain why we can't feed dogs or cats raw vegan and we must feed them cooked food which, according to us, is poison and nutritionally devoid? Make sure you use the word "thrive" when talking about pets on cooked so that people get misled and think that pets can thrive on cooked food even though we say "Human animals can survive, but not thrive on cooked food." I'll even teach you a new word: Anthropocentrism (yes, even vegans can suffer from it and deny it.)

What to feed your pet is just another moral dilemma that comes with the cruel responsibilities of objectifying other animals. Just don't acquire any pets.

Well, I live with a dog. I don't consider her my dog...i consider her my friend.

I fed her vegetarian food, because if I believe that if I buy meat, I am supporting that industry.

In regard to having or not having a pet, in a perfect world, I guess the word pet would't make sense...but in our world, where we ahve created domestic dogs...and there are so many, needing a home or they'll die, i agree with living with dogs and cats...but I do't agree with buying cats and dogs...i agree giving a home to the homeless or the ones who would be killed other wise

love!
