Has come to the northern hemisphere and i am feeling the affects. The affects are real subtle but i can feel a bit of a heaviness on my psyche but nothing too worry about though. Will be taking a vitamin-D supplement for sure.

Permalink Reply by Kristján Vegano on December 5, 2011 at 3:31am I am not depressed or anything like that, it just feels like its never daytime and it feels like its always night time. I should be used to it after all those winters i have lived here.
You are more sensible to what happens in nature and you are more connected to nature!!

Where is it that you are going in the sun soon?
Permalink Reply by Kristján Vegano on December 5, 2011 at 4:27am Thank you for that CTW. I have always wanted to visit Chicago.
Permalink Reply by mathyou on December 5, 2011 at 4:58am yea it sucks. i felt like i was going into a mini hibernation over thanksgiving, cuz i had 4 days off work. all i did was lay in bed and sleep. i just started working out yesterday and instantly felt better. so maybe start lifting or something to break the fatigue spell.
We're not in as much darkness as you but so far I haven't feel it too much. It's been unseasonably warm-the warmest November that I can remember in Maine. I find that being outside a lot helps keep a balance. Been doing Vit D straight through the year. I walked in a holiday parade with the kids yesterday and being out in the sun(even though low) was glorious. Today I walked and raked leaves into my compost pile. Will work out later, exercising a lot is really it for me, especially during these dark months.
Permalink Reply by Erin Volentine on December 5, 2011 at 5:08am Wow, that's crazy. I thought it was bad here in Louisiana. Sunrise - somewhere around 6 am, set around 5pm.

Permalink Reply by PK on December 5, 2011 at 5:45am Have any of you guys tried a reptile UV light? They can be found at some pet stores and I think Amazon.com.
Some people have had good results both in fighting winter depression and or Vitamin D problems. A small reptile light can be used while watching tv, reading, working on your computer, and any other sedentary activities us humans like to do.
Peace, PK
Permalink Reply by Kristján Vegano on December 5, 2011 at 5:51am i will check it out. Thanx PK.
