I think its so funny how some people react when they find out im going raw vegan, its always like "why?" "that's crazy" "that doesn't seem healthy" "where do you get your protein?", which is exactly what i thought the first time i heard about raw vegan, little did i know i would end up trying it and enjoying the benefits. I absolutely love it, and I feel good all the time. I can't believe how i use to eat . . . extremely unhealthy. Fast food almost every night :/ gained soo much weight! Now I've lost about 35 lbs and am back to running and being more active. Not to mention all the things I have learned by becoming raw vegan. I can't really see myself going back, I'm not quite 100% raw but I am working my way there, and I definitely don't want to go back to being unhealthy. Anyways I just think its so funny how weird-ed out some people get hearing about the way i chose to eat, but i totally understand it coming from their point of view.
Right?! sometimes i look at my boyfriends food and ask do you even know what exactly is in that? lol he is not raw vegan but he has deff. warmed up to the idea. Its scary all the additives processed food has!!
Me too! I guess its because its so outside of their comfort zone that they dont know what to do! And then the questions begin, I dont mind them so much because it gives me a chance to open up their eyes to something new and especially healthy. That's why I also thank the gods for this website!
The saying "People hate things they do not understand" is soo true, most families and schools don't teach kids about nutrition its sad :(. I had to find out on my own by trying a million diets that all made me feel sick and unhappy. Who knew it could be soo simple, duhhh eat stuff that grows out of the ground that's why its here! hah
