Hey,
in the last months ive often checked my teeths. i hoped that my two holes will close up naturally during this lifestyle. Now there are about six holes in my teeths and im very disenchanted! I think i have to quit my low fat raw vegan lifestyle! im vegetarian for 4, vegan for 3 and (hclf) raw for one year. i always had the best tooths and no holes (as meateater, vegetarian, vegan). Now I eat a lot of calories, always on 811 or 955, checking my caloric intake daily (cronometer) and had 3000-5000 calories a day. I ate a lot of very ripe organic bananas or apples, sometimes durian, melon, (wild) greens and many vegetables etc.. I really dont know what to do, i love the way i eat but my tooths hurts very often when i'm eating fruit. I dont want to leave the "raw"-movement and i feal so great instead of my teeths. But six holes are enough.. I think that i will try the cooked 811 without a lot of fruits till tomorrow. I think I have to try cooked quinoa, buckwheat, oat, potatoes, sweetpotatoes etc. but i dont know how my body will react.
I love to call me a raw-vegan, feel great, gained muscle and support everyone during this lifestyle but for some reason i think its not for me or not yet.
I hope that you have a lot of tips for me because i dont want to fall in to a sad cooked diet because of my teeth....
hopefully

Or maybe it could be some kind of over acidic conditions for whatever reason (unripe fruit would be most likely). Personally it's hard for me to discern from ripe and unripe citrus. Probably in large part to living in a climate that doesn't support citrus growth and as such all our citrus is shipped in and rarely ripe. I imagine if I got to eat some freshly harvested ripe citrus I would taste a big difference.
I think if we have current dental issues it's very important that we make sure all our fruit is absolutely ripe (it's always important regardless of health) or it will profound those issues. And in times of healing maybe it could be beneficial to even stay away from truly ripe citrus, but I don't have experience with that though.

You'll notice the difference right after the first time you use, you're teeth will feel nice and smooth just like after getting them cleaned by the dentist.

(i'm surprised they actually sell something useful, i.e. not goojaweejaberry powder and raw water)
Permalink Reply by Fruit fly on April 26, 2012 at 5:04am You are over acid. Get in the best your body vegetable juice and waterfast then and then 811 again.
You have some serious issue going on, so your body takes minerals from your teeth(could be from hair and other parts)....
if I feel overacidic, time to time(as I ate to much fat and fruit and calories in total long term or I dont do it properly)...quick fix is leafy greens and cruciferous juices with apples. then water melon and then back to ripe fruit or go waterfast retreat and then back to raw.
I am sory for that, but those holes I am not so sure they heal, but I am sure that no more will come as you fix the issue, it is trust me not a problem of 811..it is problem that you are maybe gluten intolerant or milk intolerant or having some issue in your self (lyphatic) as other like girls will have a orange skin, you get it this way and long term....
the healing will not take part overnight, but I am sure that whatever your do now, you can do two things(go whatever diet and doctors) or try to go natural hygine way I described.
Forgot to ask, do you eat fresh n ripe and enough? I feel my teeth when I eat dried or mix fruit and starches.
bdw. I did see your page fotos, seems like your eat lots of unripe fruit (especially pineapple....)(you know I feel the same when I was in winter time in czech....I just switch to carrot and beet based juices instead of unripe....I never know it is unripe unless I was in brazil and my health and vitality was like crazy....BUT we have very, very good vegetable and root vegetables, juice them for a month instead of fruit and add wild edible greens in high quantity and tell me how you feel;)...
Another option is, you seems like wild man, are you drinking and living unhealthy wild young lifestyle?
Or last option, are you joking?;)))
Permalink Reply by Fruit fly on April 26, 2012 at 5:21am bonus, I dont you tooth paste (I go green juice flashes and then coconut oil brushing).
I got bracers from back an year and I have perfect health teeth even with this irritation and very bad dental hygine(I am really lazy in it...).
Permalink Reply by Jay on April 26, 2012 at 6:32am yeh, that pineapple looks terrible and i know what a ripe fruit means. those pics are maybe 1 year old. there is a german book called waterfast kills tooth decay. but i really dont want to waterfast again. ive tried it and toooo skiny (really.. took half year to gain the weight back and i was very thin befor)
Frederic Patenaude wrote a really good article on this

Permalink Reply by Leslie on April 26, 2012 at 5:48am I had cavities before 811 and remineralized them in about half a year.
During the first few months, I had NO acidy fruits. (no tomatoes, lemons- not even oranges).
I've been there. It is scary waking up everyday to find black spots on your teeth.
I'm not saying that everyone can heal from diet alone, but I don't know how eating cooked will help...

Permalink Reply by Christie Lyn on April 26, 2012 at 6:26am Just some things to consider... Do you floss your teeth daily? fruit and veggies, nuts tend to stick between our teeth worse even than stuff on the SAD diet, I have noticed. And not flossing WILL cause our teeth to rot, and periodontal disease. do you go to get your preventative work done every six months (cleanings, exams)? No matter what diet we have, we really need to have our teeth attended to by professionals for preventative work consistently. You can refuse (as I do) the flouride treatment they try to give you after the cleaning, if that has been an issue for you. Do you think you may have had some dental issues prior to the raw diet? Also, if you consume alot of citrus, rinsing with water afterward is smart because the acid will wear the enamel down on our teeth. I know this must be a trying matter for you... I hope this helps a bit. :*}
