I used to be addicted to niacin (b3). Sometimes when I'm feeling a little cooky I'll pop a couple just to get that tingling sensation. It's like an orgasmic rush. Whoopee!!!! I swear I could have been a Scientologist . . . just give me 5000mg and stick me in a sauna all day and I'd be in heaven!
Sublingual b12 gives me this same high especially on days where the fruit just isn't cutting it. I think I want to stop taking these little things because somewhere deep down I believe human engineered nutrition is unnatural. I really don't even know if it does anything for me and I don't seem to miss it when I don't take it. I basically just take it when I want that pick me up. I doubt it's more valuable than a cup of coffee. I hate marketing. Damn snake oil salesmen!!!
Dr G doesn't seem too keen on it either.
Anyone else have similar experiences or questions about supplementation? What is your justification and do you really notice an extreme difference when you're on it or off of it?
