I'm considering getting a UV sunlamp for my room over the winter since I usually go months without seeing sun. Seems more appealing than taking a supplement every week. Anyone have any tips/suggestions/comments about sunlamps?

i've been thinking about this too! not sure if this is a silly question but what is the difference between a sunlamp and a tanning bed? (doesn't dr g say that the sun won't cause cancer if you have no cancer to be caused, so does that mean tanning beds aren't harmful for us healthy ones either?)
Tanning beds have both UVA and UVB rays and often more UVA which destroys vitamin D whereas UVB creates vitD. Make sure not to shower with soap within 48hrs of sunning yourself. You'll wash the vitD off before it gets absorbed.

yes, i understand the physical difference between the two. but are they essentially the same thing? is a sun lamp safer? can i just go tanning instead of getting a sun lamp?
thanks again! sorry i have nothing more to offer in way of advice!
hey, i rememeber one of these!
we found it in an abandoned place in London years ago...
i didn't know what it was at the time, but we were laying naked under the warm orangish light all the time!
i wish i had one now!
For Vit D production you need the UV-B rays, so if the light you want has UV-B output you should be good. Or as an alternative you can get a UV-B bulb that they make for reptiles.
i've only been using mine for a couple of days but so far i love love love it!
i have been sleeping much less. i used to sleep 10 hours a day easily, even without exercising much. now i sleep 6-8 hours. i wake up at 7 with no alarm.
i also got my love for exercise back. i had stopped exercising because i didn't have the energy.
so far i feel like it is just the same as the sun, and totally worth it.
i have only had it for a week though. if you ask again in another week or so i'll give you my updated response.
i know strawberry babe has one too if she's on this forum you could ask her.

Europe is different.
People started to think about nature and saving nature early on.
We have alot of law regulations about animal treatment at the farms and they are well let us say getting "closer" to the natural one.

no haven't heard that about the soap and cancer, seeing it's allopathic in nature (addressing a symptom not the cause) I can't imagine how that would work.
