Hello
I want to travel for 1 week to a great warm place in Europe. Anyone have suggestions? i can also come visit if you want. Thinking about traveling in the beginning of August. I really want to live in a tent or just with my sleeping bad. Is this possible? where is the best place?

(actually most ppl here go camping in the summer)... I mean, what else can you ask for? Also, people are very welcoming, almost everybody speaks at least a bit of english, so it's easy to get around... and you might even find fruit trees and get free carbs! :) if you want more info message me. :)

Permalink Reply by For_The_Love_Of_Fruit on July 23, 2012 at 10:50pm Sure, I suggest camping either in Gerês, Algarve, Alentejo or any beach place really (as you can see from a map, portugal is half surrounded by sea, so there's really plenty of beaches). I wouldn't suggest wild camping since it's illegal and you might get caught. But there's plenty of cheap camping parks. Just google camping in portugal. As food prices go, I'd stay away from the Algarve: it's the mostly priced for tourists. North of the country tend to be cheaper and still very warm. Do some research and give it some thought.
Permalink Reply by Superhuman on July 23, 2012 at 11:17pm great thanx. yeah i need to camp near a place so i can buy fruit and greens :) what fruits do they have that are in season or they sell that are in season and are good now?
Permalink Reply by For_The_Love_Of_Fruit on July 24, 2012 at 2:38am In season an very cheap in summer: nectarines, peaches, cherries, local figs (YUUMMM!!), watermelons, piel de sapo melons, white melons, galia melons, cantaloupe, bananas (two kinds: regular, and a Portuguese variety from the Madeira Islands, similar to the ones from the Canaries Islands), grapes (the ones used to make Porto Wine ;) ), etc. You will leave wanting more. xxx
Permalink Reply by Superhuman on July 24, 2012 at 3:44am holy moly. You buy these at local markets or ?
Permalink Reply by For_The_Love_Of_Fruit on July 24, 2012 at 5:02am We have fruit shops all over the place... they're called "Frutarias". Also, if you're interested in woofing (I saw posts below) you can also do it in Portugal (namely algarve and alentejo), but in any woofing experience you need to give them notice way in advance (be it Portugal or any other country), I'm not sure you could still get a place this summer for that. Good luck!
Note: I bought 3,600kg of sweet peaches today for 2€! Talk about cheap! :)
ALSO: Where are you from? were you born in Macao?
Permalink Reply by Celia C (Ana) on July 24, 2012 at 4:32am I would recommend woofing in Spain! There are a few raw vegan woofing places in the south, like Jardin Tropical - you just have to register as a woofer in Spain, let me know if you want the link to do that.
