I blended 400g of fresh strawberries with 20 bananas for my lunch, just over halfway through and it's so sickly sweet that i'm finding it hard to get through ... have I made a not good combination?

That said, your smoothie contains a crazy amount of fruit--most people boast about downing 10 bananas in a smoothie. So, try eating half that and maybe temper the smoothie with water? Or add some oranges for a tangy taste to offset the sweet? I don't know if oranges combine well with bananas and berries, but the flavor combo's delicious.
I've got through 2/3rds of it, just trying to up the ante on my calorific intake. I had 18 bananas in smoothie the other day and managed to get through it ok, though that time i was gulping it a bit and not letting my saliva in my mouth intermingle with it before swallowing as much as i'm doing today.

...oranges go really well with bananas, but ive never tryed all three together.
