Hey everyone! I really need some help here. I'm on the cooked vegan 811 diet. I've been getting stomach pains recently after eating my only cooked meal at night (steamed broccoli with brown rice, no salt). My stomach really hurts and I can't fall asleep until at least an hour passes. I've been on this diet for about 2 months now and this never happened before. Is my body trying to tell me to just go fully raw? I know a lot of you will tell me to do fully raw but I'm not ready for it yet. I did get a small sun burn a few days ago, would that have anything to do with it? This is really frustrating because I'm eating so healthy and I still have problems :( I also forgot to mention that I drink water while I eat my rice and broccoli. Does that have anything to do with it? In the morning I had strawberries, bananas, orange juice, so nothing bad. Thank you guys :)
Permalink Reply by Danny Bergman on June 23, 2012 at 2:51pm Try not to drink water with meals and make sure you chew your food until it becomes liquid in your mouth. Drinking water probably diluted some of your stomach acid during the meal and you probably didn't chew your food well enough and your body is having a really hard time digesting it all. Thats probably what the pain is from.
