a few people here have told me they still sprout and its beneficial.
well whenever i sprout sunflower seeds, i see see them come out the other end...
my question is, have we been eating seeds all this time and not knowing they just pass by undigested or am i the only person that cannot digest seeds?

Some of our members cannot digest seeds and nuts very well. Grains, nuts, and well, seeds are the seed of the plant. Enzyme inhibitors prevent the seed from sprouting until the right conditions are met. In some people, this inhibits digestion as well.
If you cannot digest them leave them.
This link also discourages the eating of nuts and seeds:

On an evolutionary scale though, primates and hominids may have developed a symbiotic relationship with fruits and their indigestible seeds. Trees produced rewarding sweet fruits and we pass their seeds on in our stool as pre fertilized goodness, and thus the cycle continued.

Many of us, including myself, do just fine without nuts and seeds. Just make sure you are getting enough leafy lettuce greens like romaine lettuce, and about 1-2 pounds a day. The greens have chlorophyll that may be beneficial, higher mineral content, help ward of oral and dental problems, increase energy in some people, and are high in cobalt, a b12 precursor.
If you are craving a little fat, and some of our members actually need a little overt fat to assist in elimination of stool, avocados might work. A little disclaimer here is some people may be a little allergic to avos too. Make sure they are ripe, the skin should be dark and the flesh soft. If the flesh is brown, oxidation and the fat content going rancid may be occurring.
Good news is, many of us feel good and thrive overt fat free too.
Peace, PK
