30 Bananas a Day!

This 30BaD post is for support and inspiration. (-Because I need some! :) & I think others do too.)  My goal is to get outside and to exercise as a daily routine. I will log my training as I go. It's mostly yoga, running, dancing, jumping, strength training and powerwalking. I invite you to use this post as your daily log too. Your energy would be of great help to me and to the rest of the 30BaD members. -Let's sweat! ( ';D)

4 km brisk walking/running

82 min Guided Ashtanga Half Primary yoga class. When I'm in the mood for hard work I pick this class. Have to take care though, some poses are risky and you might have to take a step back. All went fine :)

- Did you like the Dual etc. class Aimée? I'd love to be able to press up in to handstand...

Yesterday added a clean-the-house-workout, studied the piano and on youtube I discovered the "A New Earth" classes, which I started watching now. So my schedule still is developing, changed art/history temporarily for these spiritual classes. I guess I need it at the moment.

It's a beautiful day! Sun is shining, everything is peaceful outside because it is a holiday. Hope you enjoy it too!

Do you mean the classes Eckhart Tolle did with Oprah?

//

I got too busy yesterday & the Grace class never happened. :( And I think today will be similar. I have someone from France coming to stay in my apt (while I stay at a friends for a 4 days or more), plus I have a painting due Friday that the framer is waiting on, & a few events this weekend. -phew! ;D) Life is really heating up over here. Things are busy. But just like the waves of the ocean, I know that things will get calm & slow again & I can get back to a more "routine like" schedule. I like having a routine & things that are set at a certain time. It keeps me balanced. ;) Plus, it keeps me exercising.

Wow, you're so busy! Hope you'll get back into your own routine soon ;) My son sometimes stays a few days at his friends house who lives closer to the academy. It is such a difference for me then, but still I need time to get back into my 'stillness'.

Yes i meant the classes with Oprah and Eckhart. I didn't know before, but you can download them for free in iTunes (podcasts), they're also to see on youtube. I put it on, watch and take breaks throughout the day to do other things. This way I try to see one chapter a day. I have read  some of it, but maybe not good enough. Now I really try to apply it :)

Workout his morning:

30 min Just One Dance Yoga class, not much of a dance, but a nice flow of poses, very harmonious. Loved it :)

Taichi 24-forms

Meridian qigong

Oh I totally know what you mean about your "stillness". ;) I long to return to that too when I find myself adapting to one or more energies from other people. I can be very sensitive energetically. I love connecting with people, but in general, it takes quote a lot of alone time to be me. Or I should say, to be me at my best. (Maybe my battery needs lots of recharging on order to stay balanced.)

Very much the same with me :) I often think that I need lots of alone time to recharge.

Hola all!

Still very active in person if not online, with everything I mentioned previously. For example:

Yest was about a 5-6 mi run through the woods broken by dip bar walks, and kip pull/chinups.

Today was a Qigong warm, followed by a KB inspired WO with DB's up to 45#, with moves like swings, high pulls, cleans, snatches, and renegade rows.

Latest CC:

step 6, close pushups: 2/11, 9

s 4, 1/2 pullups: 2/ 8, 8

s 7, Assisted 1 leg SQ (pushing on ground with free leg) set 1/7/11; set 2/ 6/9

s 6, Hanging Bent Knee Raise: 2/15, 15 will repeat

s 4, 1/2 HSPU (off 7-8" riser) 2/19, 20

s 3, Angled Bridge, 3/30, 30, 30 FINALLY moving on!

Marcos another thing that I've found really helps on the 1leg SQ is to perform it on slighty down angled ground.  That helps to maintain forward balance if you have any trouble falling backwards.

Possible?  Yes! (can't embed so somebody else can do the honors, pls)

Hello hello! Welcome back, You. :) WL is in the house!

Hello Beloved Beings!

Yesterday I had a CRAZY day full of housework that I tried to do as fast as possible.

Blowing up air mattresses, cleaning vigorously, hauling fruit loads, climbing stairs, etc.

Today I will be strolling around Manhattan. It's beautiful out! ;D)

I hope you are having a great Sunday. See you on Monday! :) Xx!

Hello Windlord!! So nice to read you :)

Had 2 days of complete rest, well... one day I did 24-forms of taichi and the other 8 pieces of Brocade qigong in the morning.

This morning 30 min In a Heartbeat Vinyasa yoga class, glad to feel the muscles working :)

10 min meridian qigong.

Back to bed for more healing rest, with 3 large glasses of green banana/pineapple smoothies.

Have spent my time well the last 2 days: watched 9 chapters of Oprah/Tolle classes, so today I'll watch the last one :)

Have a great Monday all!

Wow, congrats on completing the Tolle classes, Sita. :) Sounds like the classes were food for the soul!

Hi Everyone!

Today & tomorrow I will be away from home & rolling like a tumbleweed. But I'll have my laptop with me. So I can read & reach out, but I don't think I'll have much exercise or news to report.

But if anyone else has exercise, insights, or exiting news to report -- I would love to hear it. :) Post away!

Today's music:

Love this music!!  Glenn Gould is my example of how to play Wohltemperiertes Klavier!

Bach balances your mind, my teacher once said.

Feeling totally enlightened after the Tolle classes :D I'm so glad I could take the time to see the podcasts, I remember I couldn't get to read the book well at the time.

So being ill was good. Meanwhile I'm a few days on banana island. Will see how long I'm able to continue.

42 min Wrist Free Harmonious Hips Spinal Flow yoga class

10 min meridian qigong.

Have a great day all!

I know you will feel better soon. :) I feel in general you have gotten so much better & stronger.

//

Yes, I agree with your teacher. Classical music puts me in such a balanced state of mind.

When I was a youth, I used to sit in cafes that were near the University of Berkeley California.

All of the cafes near the college campus would play classical music while the students worked. (Maybe it's not like that now, but it was 25 years ago.) As a young person I felt so good in that environment. The silence of the students, the relaxed atmosphere, the uplifting & soothing music -- I think this is why I still thrive in those environments. It feels like home.

Keep going with spiritual podcasts, MP3s, audio books, & videos. There are so many.

Byron Katie, Adyashanti, Tolle, Caroline Myss, Nisargadatta, Ram Dass, Krishnamurti, Alan Watts, Isha Judd, Osho, Gangaji, etc.

It's a good practice to have. It's like keeping you in the "enlightening" conversation. It keeps you in that state of mind. (Just like classical music.) ;)
