New here to 30bad. I'm so happy to have a community to connect with.
I just started working out so I'm a bit cautious. I did 20 min on the rebounder. Did some light gardening & enjoyed the early California sunrise. Thank you all for being here and inspiring me to move!

Speaking of the west coast... my sister sent me this video yesterday:
Permalink Reply by Sita on April 8, 2012 at 7:18pm Love it!! Funny to see that car; my son has exactly the same pink Cadillac, was in his room for years.
Todays workout:
40 min brisk walking+running
45 min Stretch and Decompress yoga class for my aching body - muscle pains from yesterdays wo.
10 min meridian qigong
And today I longed for some meditation afterwards, so that was about 10 min.
Breakfast: 6banana/3dates/palm kale/celery/blueberries/chia (+water) smoothie :)

Permalink Reply by Sita on April 9, 2012 at 8:01pm Yesterday afternoon an hour walk in the forest with a friend.
Today 35 min brisk walking+running
17 min Rebounding into Flow yoga class, wanted something easing today, my body still has to recover from that challenging class earlier.
15 min taich-24forms and meridian qigong
a short meditation session, breakfast was calling my stomach :)
1.75L 6largebananasmoothie with cel juice+water/2dates/baby spinach/ lettuce/chia
Yesterday I longed for being silent after the workout, inspired by Aimée ;) Then later in the day I read in Deepak Chopra's '7 spiritual laws of success' that to apply the law of pure potentiality (creativity) you should learn to sit in silence and just BE (think I do this a lot, just not consciously 'doing' that). And if possible meditate for 30 min in the morning and again in the evening. I'll try to bring this into my day :)
Peace to all of you
Permalink Reply by ♥ AimeeLovesYou on April 10, 2012 at 2:31am Ah, that is wonderful Sita! :) -- And I have to say. Twice a day makes a huge difference. And I really don't think length of time matters that much. If I do it for 5 minutes or 30 minutes, I feel about the same. It's like taking a shower. You can bath for 30 minutes, or you can wash up for 5 minutes. Clean is clean! And you feel so good coming out of the shower, length of time makes no difference.
Go for it. Try twice a day -- & let me know what you think of 2 short sessions daily, verses 1 longer session per day.

Thank You Universe: I feel like the older I get, the more I feel at one with things. And I am so grateful for this feeling/knowing. There was so much resistance in my youth, & now, there is "thinking for myself" without the fight, without the struggle or resistance, & it feels so refreshing. And it is so much easier!
Not yet. -->Work I Love: I haven't done any yet. But later today I will do some studying.
Permalink Reply by Windlord on April 10, 2012 at 8:50am Greetings Goddess and Seven! I agree--so much inspiration to be had here :)
My friends, I've been largely absent for a while myself, and I'm afraid this may continue for an indefinite period. I'm heading out tomorrow to deal with something challenging, without regular 'cuter access, but I'll check in where I can. Keep holding down the fort as you're already doing so well. Peace
Play over the past few days:
yoga, a Budokon DVD I've been hunting for for a while, a fun Tahitian Hip Hop DVD, a Bas Rutten shadow boxing CD 10x 2min rounds, Turkish getups, 35# DB Swings (a set of 50r), and some Indian Club drills (You know inventive little me--I used a small sledge hammer and a monkey wrench, each about 4# :)
Re-engaging with CC--today was Horizontal rows 3 sets/20r each; Close Squats 2/20; Full pushups 2/20
Hope everybody celebrated a blessed Easter. My fam enjoyed the afternoon at a concert by one of the best bands in the state, Traveler. Here's a taste:

Check-in when you can so I don't worry about you. Your situation doesn't sound good. But I hope it turns out to be a blessing in disguise. Hopefully all will be well in the end & you will return. Stay positive.
Lots of love from the gang is with you. We'll be here rooting you on.

CC:
Close pushups (step 6): 2x5
Hanging bent knee raises (step 7): 2x5
Jackknife pulls (step 3): 3x 13/12/12
Hip raises (bridge step 1): 3x35
Headstand (step 1 of handstand pushup serie): 20 seconds :(
Unenven squat (step 7): now thats the problem. For me, it was a huge step from close squats (which I hit progression standard without any problem). Can't do 1 single rep without falling backwards. Maybe it's a balance thing, but problably I lack strenght at the bottom position. So I'm doing "airborne lunges" instead of the offical step 7.
Uneven squats (step 7) Airborne lunges (step 6.5): 2x1 (each side)
Next time I'll do horizontal pulls (pull up step 2) instead of step 3. Let's see how it goes.
Nice numbers WL!
peace
